You better get here sooner, rather than later. At this point, we won't have anything left to sell next Saturday.

Hey Ed, just saw this thread, congrats on the sale and purchase. Can't offer much help on the 3-2 downsize, it's tough. Holler if you need help moving.

A game of inches....trimming my bench 1 3/8" on each end-I don't have 96", but I do have 93 1/4".

Hmm, so how the heck am I going to downsize from my detatched 1200sf garage to a little one my wife keeps pestering me about when she mentions the dreaded word "downsizing" -> what do to with the 48" lathe, TIG and stick welder(s), benches, Unisaw, chopsaw(s), portable and fixed compressors, lift, ramps, jackstands, air tools, rolling tool cabinets, HVLP equipment, high pressure sprayers, Porsche spare parts, spare wood, sets of tires/wheels and lots of other stuff.

Guess I am staying..

Best of luck Ed, it can be all compressed and it lets you streamline - but its painful.

Yes, it is painful. But, I have the new garage pretty well laid out-more wall cabinets. The lift, welder, drill press and grinder, compressor, cabinets and tool chests will all go. I've got a pretty good size shed on the outside that will store my lesser used things, such as my HVLP rig. I should sell mine-I've not used it since I built my airplane, 10 years ago...

Yah i know the challenge. I have some good quality equipment that i perhaps might use in the next decade, but i dont sell it because its value on the open market is low, and just in case i need it

Well, moving day was today-I am beat!

The first pic simply evokes an OMG from me....the second is the delivery of new cabinets (great timing!).....and Sapphire arrives tonight to sleep safely in her new abode. Lots of unpacking, hanging, organizing, etc the next two days!

Well, between all the other stuff that is part of a move, I've been plugging away at the garage. 3 more cabinets, 4 shelves, speakers, another light fixtue and I'll have the bulk of the garage done:

We ordered a new Charcoal Grey washer/dryer, and my wife gets a Gladiator cabinet and shelf too, to the left of the door. We parked the 993 and the Benz inside tonight, so definitely moving forward.

Working my way to the nicest garage in the neighborhood....all of the cabinets are up, and all but two 30" shelves that I'm on the fence about. Now that I've got the storage, I need to finish unpacking boxes, but there will be plenty of room for two German beauties, and my stuff. I guess I'll end up with a bunch of posters I won't be able to use....

But, it is coming together:

Well done Ed.

Looks like you might be able to have some creative construction done up high and a 2/4 post lift will work. Should be able to make it a 3 car.
