Xpel Ultimate Clear Bra
Has anyone actually installed this clear bra product? Your feedback would be great!
It's suppose to self heal with heat. So scratches, yellowing from the older 3M days, bird stains etc are now not an issue. In addition that orange peel look is no longer an issue too, it basically has gloss just like regular paint.
This looks pretty amazing IMO.

I also had it installed. A bit more expensive but worth i believe. I spoke to the exclusive distributor for the top brands in Canada (3m and xpell) and he also confirmed superior product. I also did all front, full hood (easier to maintain), fenders and mirrors. Really difficult to see.

The stuff is legit! Yes it really does work! It also solvent proof! Anyone getting any kind of clear bra, should get this stuff!
You can scratch it with a wire brush, then put a heat gun on it, in seconds, the scratches disappear!

Yeah, I googled it as well and found that page - great stuff! I have seen it on some cars, great stuff. I have the old style system on my car right now with the seam across the hood - it has take a bit of a beating, so I am waiting for another year to see if its worth having a repaint and cover with this stuff.

Possibly.
I was checking their site yesterday and noticed that none of their films are much more than 6.5 mils thick (you don't count the adhesive). That is roughly half the thickness of the OEM 12 mils used on the rear fenders.
Is it that tough that it can be thinner, or do they make it thinner to be more workable?
