Sorry for your loss. Not sure if you've seen this yet but will bring up some great memories and will give you a laugh as well.

Clearly he had a lot of character, and thanks to you, was well cared for. Very sorry for your loss.

Thanks. It's been a tough Saturday-Kai was always a big part of weekends, it's so empty without him. I've made official plans to spend next weekend on the boat. He loved hanging out at the yacht club, as long as we were doing something, like walking or riding in the dinghy. I guess I get to spend more time doing boat projects now.

Ed, maybe it's time to grab a nice big bag of good dog food and visit a local shelter. Donate the food, play with the pups there and see if that makes you feel a little better and maybe you'll see the next Kai there.

No shame in doing that, they need us as much as we need them.

We've done that. Every year at Christmas too. We took all three of Kai's beds as well. The shelter cannot take used items, but they give them to their foster families to use. We kept a couple of his toys for momentos, and there are a few rawhide bones buried around the backyard! We'll get his ashes back next week to go next to our Charlie's.

Our condolences... We recently lost 3 dogs within 3 years. They were our four-legged children with fur coats. We can relate to the anguish and sadness that you and you family are suffering.

Hi

He looks like a nice dog. When I have the time to care for such an animal I would like one like that. Better to have loved and lost......

All the best

Very sorry for your loss Ed. You're a good man for adopting an older pooch and giving it a good home.

Thanks-he was a great dog, and we were quite lucky for the 18 months we were able to spend with him.

Ed,
I totally feel your pain as I just lost my best canine buddy today too. He had a huge personality and here is the little tribute I paid him on my page:

My Dearest Giuseppe,
You were a best friend to each and all of us that knew and loved you. A lovable rogue with a sweet and generous nature, always ready for an adventure and a constant glint in your eye. Your penchant for pretty young blondes and talent at capturing their affections was widely known in certain Melbourne circles.

You were my all time best wingman, roommate and partner in crime during your younger years.

You were Annetta's constant companion, best friend, protector and doggy boyfriend even though you were so terribly disappointed that she was not a blonde.

You were Punky's protector when she visited with you, not retiring to your own bed before ensuring that she was safe in her crib every night.

You were mum and dad's little princeling, milking each of them in different sneaky ways.

You were my little brother's all time best wingman and pimp, ensuring he was never without the company of a blonde.

You were PhD level smart and Cirque du Soleil agile but only when roast chickens, blondes and bacon treats were present.

You had a full and happy 13 years with us. Your departure has left a huge void in all of our hearts but we all smile through our tears when we reminisce about all the joy you brought to us.

Rest in peace, buddy, you will never be forgotten.

Take care
Darren

Darren, I'm so sorry for your loss. Giuseppe looked like a happy dog, and another car afficianado!
