Default First Test: FDM 200 cell sport cats

So we finally installed our test set of FD/Leistung 200 cell sport cats tonight before we went home.
My car currently has Stage III mufflers installed, so I left in place for the first test.
This set was originally made for a '95, so I added two extra 02 bungs and plugged the single center one.
It is not an "X" pipe, and by design keeps both exhaust banks seperate. The cats are connected with some nice v-band clamps and can be easily switched out to straight cat bypass pipes which will be an option.
Haven't done any real driving on them yet, but I have to say it's pretty darn loud

more info to follow...

TURN UP THE VOLUME ON THIS ONE

Congrats Darin, sounds awesome

I remember asking you like 2 years ago why you were not manufacturing sports cats, took you a while

Just kidding, I am definitely interested as well when you are ready to market.

All the best

hells yes!!! sounds amazing and everything looks quality. Are you going to have a group buy when you have enough in stock to get things rolling?

Tells us how it drives after a few runs around the block but, I also would like to know how it sounds cruising on the highway, however, I do still want the high flw 200 cell cats with the bypass kit.

Very cool! Cant wait to hear how loud they are with stage 2 cans. May be exactly what I need! Do you think stage 2 with a 200 cel cat would be as loud as stage 3 with the stock cat? I would like a bit more sound but not as much as stage 3. Nice work.

yes, but are they enginered for "max performance" like Fabspeed?

Look beautiful fellows, great work. Gotta give some performance boost, and drop a few extra pounds back there too.

FD, you guys never fail to inspire.

I think the cats with Fister III are to loud for street application. Possibly the 200 cell cats with Fister II or factory muffler might be a more mellow set up with performance gains.

Darin,

Nice work!!! Can't wait to install the SSK/Goldenrod. First big upgrade. Hopefully it also eliminates the shifter buzz, with or without the new bushings. Maybe Stage IIIs next???
