Race is tomorrow. Early day for me. I get up at 5:00am. THe posters for the office are made, the cookies are baked. My survivor shirt and jacket are properly in the pink. My "Pass it forward" Pandora bracelet that I want to give to a random fellow survivor is packed. My feet already hurt just thinking about it. YUP I am ready.

The 997S is still in the Bay Area. Intercity will pick it up this week. It's a gift for Robert. He deserves it. He is so good to me, it makes me cry. Today was great, and yet, when I saw him after the race, my emotions got the best of me. I think it hit me.... this has been a wild, wild year, a crazy wild ride, and he's been there right next to me the whole way. He deserves it. He deserves MORE ......



TODAY WAS AWESOME!!!!! TOTALLY AWESOME!!! Thanks to your generosity to me for LAST YEARS race for the cure, I was picked out to be one of the few women in the crowd of 44,722 registrants to be a hot pink hero.
Thanks to you guys THIS YEAR, I will have a special honor next year too.
THANKS you YOU GUYS between 75 and 80 women will get free mammograms this year. That means so much to me. YOU GUYS mean so much to me. THANK YOU.

My heartfelt thanks go out to all of you who donated this year.
You are so good to me. I am the luckiest gal in the world.
There is still time to donate to SGKomen thru me me up to Nov. 20th. After that... you can still donate, but not through me.
I can't believe that through today my fund raising total is $11.200.00. You guys, my family and all my friends are the best. I truly am blessed.

Soon as I get some more pictures and video I'll post it up. Right now I am so tired. I've been up since 4:30am. Walked over 4 miles and my feet are telling me it's time for new shoes!!!

Here's my pass if forward of the bracelet I got from Susan G Komen last year. WHen I was diagnosed last year and after it was all done I decided to pass my bracelet forward to another survivor in the crowd with the hopes that she would do the same thing the following year and that it will go on until there is a cure. Do you know what time that bracelet was passed forward.... 9:11am UNREAL!!! When I looked at my phone, I could NOT believe it! What you don't see in the clip (it was so crowded, that was the best my friend could do) Theresa asked how long it had been for me and I told her Dec 8th, 2011 and she told me it's been five years for her. She then said she promised me to pass it forward next year, and I could tell, she will! We said a few more things and later I saw her walking and reading my note to her. You know what? It really does feel GREAT to give someone you don't even know something nice. I want to do it again next year!

PS: There is still time to donate to me until Nov. 20th if you feel so inclined That is the cut off date for all RFTC donations for the 2012 race. After that..... there is next year. One of these years there will be a cure and then we won't have to worry about it any more.... Won't that be wonderful!

Well.... I've been in first place all this time and now I am in 3rd. The gal in 1st place has $14,000.00+ and she came from no where. The 2nd place "person" has been 5,000.00 behind me the entire time. I can't figure out if it is a person or what, (I though it was a competition among people). And then there is me.

That is okay. This really wasn't a competition for me (although I really thought it would be cool to 'win'). It's about getting help for women who need it and this year was the year I wanted to make it count the most since it's the year that it happened to me. Next year I'll still do the walk, but I'll just mention it once or twice and let it go at that, because, honestly, I am not a sales person and all this begging this year has been hard for me to do.

Oh well.... so it goes. I believe everything happens for a reason, and this is no different than anything else......


But then then I have time... till Nov. 20th to get more.... <wink>
