So I read a million posts about the glass install on the 993 and I explained everything to the tech when I dropped the car off. It obviously went in one ear and out the other. Oh and yes I have new fender rubber seals because mine are peeling out, just have not had time to install them.
This was totally covered by insurance.
Do you think I should bring it back to safelite and have them fix it or call my insurance company and tell them I want to bring it to the dealer?

The dealer can't help you. You need to bring it to a pro glass shop that does high end foreign cars and 911's. You are in an area where that should not be a problem. In Syracuse I actually ended up with a glass shop that looked pretty seedy, but had had done 911's and LOTS of custom hot rods.
The glass was installed off center and no measurements were taken and the factory guides were not used. You should have made templates for them beforehand. You'll have to start from scratch. If you're going to have a company do the glass for your 993 (a car with it's share of quirks) that specializes in Honda Accords, you have to make it idiot proof for them.
There is one thing you can try to correct the problem, assuming the photo is of the worse area. Get some of the closed cell foam rope that is used under the trim seal to stop the window squeaking. You may be able to place two or three layers in this area that will push up on the seal.

what a mess! even though the right thing to do here would be to give the car back and allow them a chance to fix it, i would not allow them to touch your car again. I think Mike really summed it up perfectly ^ . there are templates floating around, i think someone on the forum recently made a set that was derived from GeoLab's factory set.
I would never, ever, allow safelite to touch any of my vehicles ever again after they butchered my DD beater. Their hack installation caused the window frame to rust and later leak, the repair i had to do to fix their mess was extensive and took a lot of time. something i would not want to do with our 993's

I had the same problem with safelite. They tried other original factory seal with the same problem of the seal not laying flat. On the third try, they call someone more experienced and apparently the seal was not fully seated inside.

The seal needs be installed on the glass and then the glass can be set in the correct position in the frame. Unless the seal is not fully seated in the channel, the glass will have to come out and done properly and that may cost Safelite a new windshield.

I agree, safelite is no good. They generally cause more problems than they fix.
You need to find whoever is the GOOD glass installer in you area. There has got to be one.
I live in Denver and there are a million glass places, and I have delt with most of them. There is only one place I trust to do the job right and yes he is a little more expensive, but the glass will be installed correctly, with the correct seals molding and sealants, they will seal the frame if it gets cut, and the glass wont sag, blow out and the frame wont rust if they do it.
You pay for cheap you get cheap. cheap doesn't ever = good.
I have experience in collision and I would just call and bitch to my insurance co if they recommended the glass co. If you picked Safelite then you will have to deal with them.

The safelite by me IS the glass tech for the local Porsche and BMW dealerships. They're the only game in town. There are a lot of bimmers and pcars around here, so they have a (barely) adequate amount of skill.

I think those seals are tricky from the get go - mine is puckered at the top passenger corner, and I'm almost positive my glass is original from the insaynnnne number of chips and flecks in it.
Since the outer seal is not waterproof anyway, I'm thinking the pucker allows any moisture that gets in there to evaporate faster...or maybe not.

I just had mine done about 3 weeks ago, & if mien came out like that, they would be doing it again.
Sadly, you might have to give them another shot to fix it, before you take it some where else.
Also might be a good idea to find out where everyone local to you goes, then take your car there.
