That interior is so beaten up that I wonder if the mileage is accurate.

I'm hardly a concours guy, but even I would run away from that POS.

Overall I have to say apart from the 'barn find' C2S this has to be the most unloved 993 I've seen. The owner should have been a lot more upfront regarding the condition before you made the 14 hour round trip. Very poor show.....
I did most of the research with Riegel Tuning who did inform me properly. I just needed to see it myself to make sure the right decision was made.

I'll be biased and offer that you might want to look at a nice 993 cab (I'm on my second one) as a good summer weekend car that is easier to find and maintain than a TT.
I hear you! All options are open. Actually, just noticed a 1986 wide body targa....Told you I am looking at a large range of cars....

Get it. It will clean up well and you'll have a killer ride for the right price.

The PPI seemed OK? Go for it.

I've seen that car driving around (recognize the plate). Hard to tell from a drive by how rough the car is. That interior is shamefull IMO! Where is the car advertised?

Good luck finding your new car!!!

Holy crap! I take back my comments of prior...I thought 993 TT's in average condition in Canada sold for higher than $50k. I base this on seeing Carrera S's or C4S for sale in that range.

This car is beat. I'm surprised that the owner wasn't more upfront on its condition. But...could you get the guy down into the low 30's? He's got to realize this car is beat!

A buyer would have to get it around $35K and be a serious DIY'r .. do all the dissasembly of the body to get it ready for re-spray and RR carpet themselves .. and then there's the mechanical .. we know most of the non-technical repairs can be done in a home shop but man .. quite a project.

Its a losing proposition for everyone but a very skilled paint/body and mechanical guy.

Even if you can get it all fixed up for $10k, then you still end up with a higher mileage 993TT with accident history, 2 full repaints, and a sketchy history. Thats a $45k car at most at that point.

As you should bud, you won the TT lottery when you bought Mark D's ex-car .. there's a perfect example of a no stories, over-maintained, perfectly modded high mileage TT ..

You'd be surprise how some ppl can literally trash their cars in such a short time frame. Given this is 15+ years old it's def possible for the milage.

You are correct, you won't find a TT for sale under $60K even with high miles or accident history in Canada. Quantity for sale is very limited in general.

2 examples which are actually considered priced well IMO. High miles:
