Default 4WD to 2WD conversion info

I bought the 2WD conversion kit from FDM for my Turbo. The parts are under $1300.00.

I bought my turbo that used to belong to Mark so it came that way with AWD parts in my basement.

Funny I always preferred the narrow body. The little brakes, big wheels and US ride height were a pretty unattractive combo IMO.

Default NB or WB

NB or WB I like them both, everybody has their preference to style and price, as for me I don't mind paying the extra $10k-$15k for the WB to each it's own. Peace

This thread was never about the current price difference. It was intended to debate the driving qualities of the C2S compared to the C2 and take into consideration the opinions of a few well respected English auto journalists. The opinion that the NB 993 is the better driving car is wildly agreed upon throughout the Porsche community globally.

Having owned and driven both I can say that I did not notice a difference when city driving. My C2S was a beast on the AX circuit with its BHD suspension though. It was like having training wheels.

I to have owned a C2S. I see you have sold yours as well and now have the engine that was designed for the WB. I know why I sold mine to replace it with a NB and a Turbo. Why was the RS not designed around the WB?

Pretty sure until the 997 GT3RS all RSs were narrow-bodied.

In good time my friend. Will have to wait for the right picture to come along.

Family and work commitments are keeping me away from the TT more than I like unfortunately.

Was the 73' RS narrow-bodied? I do not think so.

THIS explains why there are so many problems with that POS C2S you once owned. You rode her hard and put her away wet!

She's in rehab at the moment....getting a total rebuild with new clutch, seals, gaskets, RS door panel removal, stereo removal and back to 17" Cup II's and the factory CDR 220 (lots of 993 C2S spare parts coming for sale soon!)

Here are the before and after pix of some of the exhaust components you abused.

Bastard.

^^^^ OH SNAP!

Funny that there were exactly "993" C2S's sold in 1998.

Damn it. Reading this thread has just confirmed what a lemon I bought. Oh man if the C2S is not desirable anymore then of course my heavier C4S is simply way over valued and handles like crap. First $25K takes it guys. Or anyone willing to trade their C2 for my C4S?

Uh huh...
