I know how you feel since I also got my 993 last week. I researched and drove the 964, 996, 997, and another 993. I chose the 993 over the others for same reason as you, and others here on this forum.

About halfway through the 25 years I owned her I had my brown Targa painted guards red. I never got a ticket in those dozen years. Had several while it was brown. Go figure.
