I'm getting a 2012 VW Golf R. It is the third generation of R branded Golfs, my R32 is the first generation.

The new Golf R is much more refined than the previous two generations, but more powerful and better handling.

I am definitely going to miss the glorious sound of the R32's VR6, as the new Golf R will be a turbocharged I4. But the better ride, handling, and ergonomic amenities should make up for that.

It was nice to see everyone yesterday. Bummer I had to bail during the middle of our first leg and still made it home later than promised. Hope to make a longer run later this summer.

...but Murphy's law says they'll all be out of focus when finally downloaded!

Sadly, I probably won't have anything that will come close to doing your new wheels justice. But I'll gladly tell the world now how incredible your custom-made RH wheels are.

I'm back in Manhattan. Flew in last night; fly out tomorrow (Sun) AM.
