I am curious how the 993 is received over there in Dubai.
My sense is that it is a place which is crazy for the newest, glitziest stuff.... Any truth to that?

Yup...an enthusiast offered me great money and I sold it. Typically most of the population thinks "its a 1998 911 and its soooooo old" whereas Porsche enthusiasts in Dubai appreciate the 993's.
So....what's next? Dunno. I'd like a Turbo so I'm planning to look around and see what turns my crank.

A TT eh ?
US Car already in Canada been listed for awhile :
http://timmismotor.com/sportscars.php?viewcar=579
I haven't gone to look at it yet but can do a (non expert) RennFax.
OT: I was working in Abu Dhabi in '92 for a month and got to Dubai for a couple of day trips. This was before the really big construction boom. At the time the main form of traffic control outside of the cities was 2 really big speed bumps placed close together. Are those still there? I remember the black strips of rubber at the approachs to these things and the first bump having gouge marks.
