I was pretty shocked when she said that Magdaddy! I commented that I'd probably lose the shipping and taxes (13%) up here when I sold it and she said that was OK??????? She must want something I'm secretly hoping that she tells me to keep both and use one for a summer daily driver.

Spidey, That car will be hot for the first 6 months and then you should be able to get one. Lots of chatter on camaro5.com regarding the car. I read one of the reviews on it last night and they said it was unbelievable! Go for it!

Putting my search on hold until next year guys. Found an allocation for a new ZL1 and put t deposit down on it. That will be my summer car and my 993 can be a real garage queen when I get it next year

Interesting purchase....I must admit the comments and hype on that car make one think it could be that car Chev makes to change their fortunes/image. The price for what you are getting is simply superb especially with the magnetic suspension found in the CTS-V and Vette.

I saw the car at the auto show last weekend and anyone who loves muscle cars will instantly fall in love with that car! 580hp and 0-60 in 3.9 seconds for $60K is an unelievable value

Bumping this back to the top...it appears that my ZL1 order is going to be cancelled by GM due to a problem launching the new car. So, any nice 993's out there that need a new home?

Sure am glad that we are no longer originality fanatics! Our 55 Speedster was totally original and we didn't enjoy driving it just because.
We're looking for a 993 that has been "RS'd". A 993 Outlaw!

Thanks guys...the ZL1 issue cropped up about 2 weeks ago and I had my doubts back then, so I kept an eye on the forum I'm OK with anything up to about 30K miles, but I really want a super clean car.

I guess I'll have to mothball my "ZEE L 1" license plates that I got for my birthday last week. Hopefully, the issues will be worked out and I can try again next year.
