1996 993 Turbo for Sale
CAR IS NOW SOLD.....
I have reached a difficult conclusion. I have owned my 1996 993 turbo now for 4.5 years and during that time I have managed to only put a shameful 5,000 miles on it. It's time to sell my baby to someone who can put her to good use.
Price: $75,500
Miles: 40,XXX
Arena Red with Black interior
Excellent condition
I am the second owner. Clean carfax, no wrecks or issues.
Always stored in a garage and never exposed to the elements
Vehicle options:
- Self-dim mirror and rain sensor
- Heated front seats
- Remote CD changer
- Metal door sill model insignia
- Lumbar support - left and right seats
Original invoice - $111,350
Comes with Car:
- Stock seats and sliders
- Recaro 996 GT3 seats with BK Race Brackets and 996 sliders
- Fabspeed bypass exhaust
- Billy Boat mufflers and exhaust tips
- Hartmann 3 piece wheels
- Sun shade
- Car cover
- Sport springs (not installed)
- PSS10 coil overs
- Turbo S front end
- Turbo S projectors (originals included)
- Clear corners (originals included)
- New headlight lenses
- Front tower brace
- Clear bra on front, mirrors and rear wheel area
- Tinted windows
Work done to car:
- Top end rebuild
- Transmission rebuild
- K16 Turbos rebuilt and improved by Kevin at UMW with 996 check valves
Receipts and detailed work performed available upon request. Engine and tranny work performed by Eisenbuds in Denver.
I will offer to my fellow RL Members before opening it up on Autotrader and other avenues. I have receipts for over $35,000 in work and improvements to the car so I think my price is very fair. This is essentially a brand new car.
Issues? A couple of cosmetic things. A rock hit the front glass on the lower passenger side and I had the crack filled. Only visible at certain angles. A few chips on the hood, nothing major. No door dings. The driver door was repainted by the previous owner because it was keyed.
Of course, I am open to PPI's and inspections. The car will be available to view starting the weekend of April 7th. Test drives may be difficult, the GT3 seats are bolted to the floor and all the way back. Good if you are 6'4", but not so otherwise. : )
I will respond to PM's in the order received. I will be in solid meetings at work for the next three days so please be patient.

That's a fair question, Mike J.
I had a PPI done a couple of years ago and it failed the leak down test. information is here on the forum. I decided to keep it and get everything fixed right. It was odd because the car ran fine and gave no indication of a problem. Jim, my mechanic at Eisenbuds thought it may have been due to a missed shift or something as simple as that. No way to be sure.
Thanks for the tip, No HTwo O and the kind words, Spidey.
