very nice. but for that kind of money it is a little much... id take a Magnus pre 73' and be happy.

a company called 'Eagle' build Jag XK's for crazy money too.. also very nice.

for 150-300k a 993RS would give the same smiles and better resale...

I have to agree. Flame suit on. I like that it looks old and is actually modern but there are a lot of things I don't like about it. That little extra piece sticking up at the bottom of the decklid grille, the Boxster exhaust, the center mount fuel filler, a lot of the interior...I could go on. I'd much prefer a car like Matteo's.

I agree. I was quoted 400k+ usd by Singer for a RHD Car. I had to send the donor vehicle from NZ so add another 50K usd. I cant understand for that money why they cant source their own donor 964 (well in the states for LHD customers anyhow).

Its a lovely car dont get me wrong but its more than a 2.7RS and a new Carrera 991S put together. Its just doesnt make any sense at all apart form the super rich and even they are few and far between at that level of "porsche oldskool enthusiast"!...

Cool cars for sure, the build quality looks amazing. But for $300K++ I'd opt for an original vintage Porsche like a real 73,964 or 993 RS. Or a 56-58 Speedster and a short wheelbase 67 S Targa. The pre 73 cars are what really float my boat....

True. Most at that level want a GT2 RS or Ferrari.

Bear in mind that Singer is not a manufacturer, they're essentially 'modifying' 964's with existing VIN#'s that are already federalized for use in whichever country the client lives. If you were to spec a Singer using a US registered donor 964, then it's likely that the cost to bring it in to NZ would cost far more than the $50k for you you to send them a car (import tax, duties, federalization etc).

The cost of the Singer is of course a very subjective topic. I personally feel that if I had the means, I'd be on the order list. These are truly bespoke creations & the ability to specify just about everything to personal taste is appealing. Every mechanical and aesthetic detail of the car has been addressed.... Sure, you can take a long hood or newer 911 & customize it however you like for less, though the Singer is a package that delivers a driving experience & performance that is unique. Read Richard Meaden's EVO magazine article - he put the experience of driving the Singer in the same category as the Mclaren F1 & Pagani Zonda.....

"When the time comes to leave this heartbreakingly wonderful machine behind, I feel something akin to grief. I'm unlikely ever to have the funds to commission one of Dickenson's masterpieces, but if I could have one- built to my precise specification- I'd never want another car." Richard Meaden
