I had the pleasure of pulling into Roadrunner PCA's "Fiesta New Mexico" last month (May 2012), to see a familiar Speed Yellow 993 with TechArt CT3 upgrades (prominently posted on previous page)
Really enjoyed catching up with owner Randy K. + seeing familiar faces. Great event, & it was especially fun to share with a fellow Palooza peep.
Randy plans to bring more cool cars to AR this November for PCA's "Escape to the Ozarks"
His son was driving the SY TechArt in Eureka Springs. His related Palooza post on RLer John Rygg's "993 Speedster" 964 Forum thread:
I had the pleasure of meeting Jager this weekend. True class act! I competed with him in the 993 class and remember telling my dad of the awesome car I had seen on the drive earlier in the day. He quickly reminded me I’d be competing with that car in a couple hours. I told him if I were going to lose the People’s Choice to anyone, I couldn’t have lost to a nicer guy. Thanks for showing off your car at Palooza Jager it was a crowd pleaser. Hats off to you sir, it was a pleasure meeting you as well!

Palooza's event photographer is Kelly Shipp. Since this was my first PP, I just met him.
As you might guess, he captures great images of the AR driving & Porsches.
What's not so obvious is:
Director/Actor Ron Howard & others recently hosted a competition in which anyone could submit a photo, 8 of which would be picked to have a short film made with a fictional plot evoked from the images.
Yep, you're right: Kelly Shipp's shot was picked
...out of >96,250 submissions!!!

Chuck's a tough & determined dude. He'll kick this, & that's no small feat, even for someone who's already done well against liver cancer.
As many may be aware: chemotherapy's arguably as challenging as cancer itself -- not for wusses!
Friday, he was eventually released back to his home, after a CT scan & tests revealed no further complications like stroke, hemorrhage, etc.
Back at doctor Saturday; MRI today. Understandably, he's not fond of those loud machines that you're literally crammed inside of for hours.
The MRI will reveal a 'report card' / milestone of how well treatment's worked. His family's spirits are lifting a bit, & his kids are rebounding well while spending time with dad.
Next chemo round starts ~Thanksgiving. Hope doctor allows their travel plans.
I know his family appreciates the concern & support of RLers.
Numerous ups & downs with treatment since last November.
Unfortunately, the intensive chemo-therapy Chuck was undergoing still let the brain tumor grow.
He's staying tough, & his wonderful family's doing everything they can to support.
Speaking of which, support of RLers like 3healey, NCTrackRat, and MANY more really has a helpful impact -- keep it going!
Had a great chat last night with Chuck. New treatment's showing fewer side effects, which is tremendous. His next session's ~Mon June 18.
He goes in for an MRI today -- here's hoping that the darn C-word has tucked its tail & is in full retreat!
Understandably, Chuck's faced frustrating times, to say the least. One was when his doctor recently got the previous MRI results & promptly pronounced NO Porsche driving for the foreseeable future. He may not have realized what he was taking away when he made that proclamation ... driving Chuck's 993 represented a tremendous aspiration.
The coolest thing is that -- instead of giving in -- Chuck's taken on a new perspective that his body will best be enabled to fight off cancer if he's focused on future goals & thinking positively.
It's already made a big difference that I can hear just talking to him.
One of the goals he's most focused on: physical progress that will one day allow his doctor's blessing to drive Chuck's silver duck again!
...he's even been buying some upgrades from RLers
Hang in there, Chuck, & keep the faith!
Rennlisters around the world are with you, buddy

What appears to be the ONLY 2011 Palooza-related picture produced so far by RLer kShipp:

Kelly was here with us the other night and he told me that he is now finally finding some time to work on the Palooza 2011 pictures. it's been quite a busy time for him that he has totally enjoyed. He is still a shy guy, but all the public speaking he had to do has really opened him up.... now if we can get him to buy a 993 soon (which he would love to have one day).
Here's the movie if you have the time to watch it. Kelly's photography was the inspiration for the tree all shot in Infrared. Love my Kelly!!!!
BTW: Type the c word in lower case. It does not deserved to EVER be in upper case. Ever! That is giving the monster more credit than it deserves. The little c needs to go away..........

While waiting, I sneak a peak of 3healey's & Arena993's well-maintained machines:
...which look even better in motion
