Jager suprised everyone when he showed up. AS ususal his car was surrounded. I was so glad to see Mike get an award too. He got the Sponsors award and those are super special. They don't go to just any car. His cab is beautiful.
Jager was given a special "SPIRIT" Award that isn't given out that often, but he certainly deserved it and I was proud to be the first up for the standing ovation that the room gave him.
That man is special in more ways than one.

Chuck's ROAD to recovery
These shots were taken the day Chuck (csertich) & I were scheduled to 'fly' together.
Just got off the phone with him & his wife -- both strong, determined folks. Chuck OKed a brief update:
Chuck's staying tough, recently started on the next cycle of chemo.
That, another seizure-like incident (much shorter than the one on the Fri that Palooza started), and new medications are ganging up on him at the same time. In time, the meds will level out to help a lot more, but it sure is a challenge for the short-term.
Hang in there, buddy
6 months after his last seizure, he's allowed to drive again. Man's got goals, & he's making big plans to stretch the legs on his 993, & make a road trip!
Maybe Barber Motorsports park (AL), & then to visit a NC RLer who's been great support, etc.
...one step at a time, though, starting with a few fun mods planned in the meantime while he's waiting. Ya gotta love it.
Speaking of great RLers that are Palooza regulars and bravely battling cancer, RJT (JoAnne), has an important date tomorrow with a medical team. Click here for more.

A lot of good folks asking how RLer csertich is doing.
Recently had fun chatting with Chuck:
He's progressing along the road to recovery, going to a Christmas party tonight -- a good sign.
Big news: His spirits are higher, feelin' gooder, & meds are better balanced.
He said we might see him around this thread; has some pics he wants to post.
Your Palooza & RL friends look forward to seeing you here soon, Chuck
In the meantime, more of the first stop on the Palooza's organized "spirited drive" route: the War Eagle Mill ... breakfast!
Hitting the road early + keeping up with the glistening 993TT in front of me worked up an appetite.
Doing so, I made 'fast friends'
with Murray & his marvelous machine, which later went on to win first place in the car show's 993 Turbo class
