What exactly is 030 Sport Suspension Code?
Canadian 1995 993 c2.
This 993 is obviously lowered but I'm wondering what kind of suspension it is?
I assume monroe struts and shocks but what about springs?
Is it possible to get Bilstein HD struts and shocks and re-use the springs?
Or are new different springs always part of a renewal of the suspension?
Any recommendations appreciated.

M030 is 4 shocks, 4 springs, & 2 sway bars. But you can purchase all parts on their own.
Yes, you can add Bilstein shocks to any of the spring sets, M030, M033, or any of the crap US stuff. Springs really don't wear out, you don't need them. But your car looks to be a bit lower then ROW M030 stuff. Best bet would be to jack it up & take a look at what you got.

That's a good summary from Mike.
There aren't a lot of options for shocks for these cars, so take a look under it. You can post some pictures and title your thread "what kind of shocks are these?" and you'll get lots of help from the really knowledgable folks here.
Key thing to look for on your shocks is adjustable spring perches front and rear. I believe the factory shocks were only adjustable on the front.

Thanks. I'll read through the articles on pcarworkshop.
Last time I looked, I couldn't make out what type shocks/struts or other suspension features.
It's all new to me and very different from my old 911 where replacing shocks were so much easier with the torsion bar suspension.
If it's possible to re-use the springs, I'd be happy to just exchange the struts and shocks for new ones, Bilstein or Koni.
The rear might be easier to do?
In the front, would there be inserts or does the whole strut need replacing?

The seafoam green car pictured above _is not_ sitting on M030 springs and OEM Monroe shocks. That's pretty much a guarantee, It's way too low for that.
You can look at the color of teh springs and shocks and report here or post a pictures. There are so few options short of going to real coilovers that the components will be easy to recognize.

Gunter I believe your car was originally sold through MCL in Vancouver. As such, it was probably altered when new like many of their 993s seem to have been (both of my cars, also from MCL, were "low" when purchased. Paperwork didn't show signs that previous owners did suspension work). I never could figure out exactly what springs were in either car (95 has M030 option, 97 has standard suspension) as the coloured markings didn't match any description.

That makes sense.
Going by info from Weissach, the original owner was an exec from MCL Porsche Vancouver who ordered the special colour and extras. Lowering seems to be favoured by MCL.
The struts/shocks are solid and the car handles very nicely, no problems with the lower stance. I like the 17" Cup II for a number pf reasons and will not go with 18".
I'll take a closer look, clean the springs/shocks and take some pix.
Thanks all. With your help, we'll find out what's in there.

The rear shocks look like black paint? and have a large green dot towards the bottom.
Rear springs have a little black paint left on them plus dirt and rust.
Dark paint (black?) with a 3/4" green dot is what brand of shock?

There is a thread with the spring color codes, there are usually 2 different colors per spring.

Black shocks are the stock non-sport ones. My 95 C4 was a factory M030 car, & the Boge shocks were green bodied. My C4S was also a M030 car & the Monroe shocks were red. The ROW M030 kit I ordered came with red Monroes.
