No first hand experience with Sloan. From what I see they get some unique cars and some basic cars. They seem to be a little heavy on price. From what I understand they do a decent amount of consignment sales which might explain the premium pricing....seller wants their price and Sloan needs to add a few grand plus to make it worth their time.

When I get Excellence mag every month my favorite part is the 2 page Sloan ad. It is like the Sears toy catalog when I was a kid......If I had the funds......

Yes, I hit Sloan's site at least once a month. I can always find something I'd like to have. Also look at Holt and RPM regularly. But this is from a guy who practically reads Hemmings Motor News from cover to cover every month.
My name is Chuck and I'm a caraholic.

Hemmings used to refer to themselves as "The Bible of the Old Car Hobby". I like to refer to them as "The Bible of the Armchair Car Collector"

Hello Chuck......tell us when you first realized you were a caroholic?

BTW, If you are ever out near Holt's stop in and ask him to show you his cars in the back room. Mostly his personal cars that are rare or hard to find or just unique. My Riviera blue coupe listed in my signature was wrestled away from that back room after much back and forth with Tim Holt. I will post pictures in a week or two was just waiting to add the new wheels.

Yep, that back room has quite a collection of fine cars. Tim's a good guy.

Sloan gets really nice stuff. I've been to his warehouse and it is a sight to behold.

But, if you are after a classic, perhaps check out California Restorations-- Incredible Stuff... http://www.caporsche.net/portfolio.html

My favourite part is the Sloan tee shirt ad.

But I also spend much time poring over the 2 pager.

Agree 100% with all above posts...

For 993s, Holt has the best available selection. RPM Sports Cars in Houston used to specialize in low-mileage, collectible 993 C2S/C4S cars, but I see more diversification from him of late (still worth a look)... As others have said, Sloan tends to be pricier but has an extensive collection on consignment...

Those would be be the top 3 companies for gorgeous 993s IMHO...

.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the Riviera blue coupe!

The caporsche.net site is new to me but it is an instant favorite. Drool!
