But, if you are after a classic, perhaps check out California Restorations-- Incredible Stuff... http://www.caporsche.net/portfolio.html
Have a feeling that CA Restorations are VERY VERY expensive

so you bought the Riviera Blue coupe marked SOLD?

Beautiful...

I guess I'm biased but I think mine is pretty nice. Doesn't exactly meet your criteria -black with grey, '95, but it is low miles at 41k and is all original except for bolt-on mods. Sounds like you might be looking for an S if looking for '97 or '98. Pics available, as well as all original take-off parts. $37,500. Purchased from Sloan just over a year ago.

I have an immaculate '97 NB coupe with 22k miles. Garage queen. Let me know if interested. Will not be inexpensive.

Allegreto, yes that is now my car. He has owned that car for a few years and he only recently agreed to part with the car and then we had to work on the terms. I put the M030 suspension back on the car and added Veloce RS wheels. Hope to post pictures in a couple weeks when I return from my business trip to the Midwest.

No doubt Sloan and others have nice cars, but something about buying from a private party tells me volumes about the life the car has led, at least for a period of time. I'd much rather spend a bit more time and get a real barometer of the car's history.

You will NEVER get the truth from a dealer.

I don't know why you would focus on any single resource. Before it's all said and done, you're going to pour over all of them almost every day. Hopefully you won't need to ship it cross country...

I bought my car from Richard Sloan a year ago, and I paid a bit of a premium but not that much. Also, for the extra cost it included application of a new clear bra, covered shipping to my home, new rubber, and and a full service to bring it up to date. My car was a bit of a plain jane compared to some that he has, so maybe that's the difference. But it was a totally original C2 coupe with low miles, and that's what I wanted.

Only you can decide that. Nobody here knows what floats your boat, and those are even similar.
