We are pretty well represented in Nashville. A typical C&C will bring at least 6 examples and clearly more than any other P-car model.

A whole bunch of 993's around these parts.

About 10 within a 10 mile radius of me.

Yep- as Vince said, we have a big group of owners in Nashville. To your original point, I think the fact that we all know each other and are on here speaks to the rarity or at least the specialness of the car.

Not according to "Original Porsche" by Peter Morgan.

993 & 84-89 Carrera coupes were delivered in similar numbers.

Truly good 964 C2 manual coupe's are becoming very difficult to find.

US delivery 84-89 coupe = 12,998

US 89-94 coupe C2/4 = 5,733 + 701 RS America =6,434

US 94-97 coupe C2/4 = 12,235

*Note figures are for 2 & 4wd coupe only - no targa/cab/turbo. Peter Morgan does not quote production figures for 1998MY (at least not in my edition).

There are 74 993 cabs on Autotrader. Doesn't seem too rare.

If you live in the UK there's a cool site that tells you 'how many are left' - registrations by year, and SORNs (statutory Offroad Notifications when a car is being restored or stored). Be cool if there was one of these in the US, but with every state doing their own thing it would be a nightmare to assemble...

Not sure what you can really make of that. A cab driver might not be looking for the same things out of a car as the person who wants a 993 coupe. An average cab driver might be happier with a newer cab with more creature comforts. Might be a much higher percentage of cabs for sale than coupes.

Let's see 1995 through 1998 in the bay/silicon valley. If I remember right the economy was decent back then.......

Cars.com shows 103 993s for sale (All models/All years). Looks like 34 cabs and 3 targas. The rest are obviuosly coupes. Also 28 are Tips.

74 Cabs out of I believe 204 993 listed on AutoTrader. That is 36%. Almost exactly the same as the % of cabs to total production.

And I know of at least 6 other 993s that are probably not in your weekly group - 1 slate gray C2, 1 midnite blue C4S, 1 arena red TT(for sale), at least 2 other guards red, my arctic silver C2, and a polar silver TT that may or may not be in your group.

The 993 is the last 911 that can be traced all the way back to the very beginning, so I guess they are mostly garaged because of what they mean to the 911 legacy. Consider the fact that 65,000 where made between 95-98, plenty to see them all over.

Selo is right, we don't see many 993s here in NM.
