Probably 7. But then again they were SUPPOSED to open at 7 years ago when they promoted a PCA club race as a paid spectator event. Those of us on track at 8 or 8:15 were waiting patiently for dude to open the gate. Ever have 20 minutes from being allowed to enter the track to being on grid?

So I'm now off the clock. One last 5A-10P day to bring the 54 day marathon to a close. If you see some (nearly) 50 year old guy stumbling around, speaking incoherently about vending machines, and otherwise being out of it in thinking I'm racing this weekend, just don't let me wander over the gate and onto the track.

Mandatory drivers meeting is at 7:15 so I assume gates open a little before then. There's a race schedule on the Mazda Laguna Seca site.

What's happened to this thread? Has it gone dead? Two years ago, there
was continuous posting about Porsche's year at the Historics from here at
Monterey. And whats with no one at the Baja around 6 - 7 PM? Was the
trip/drive that tiring/overwhelming?

Epic. Two more days to go. Will have a crew pass so my Sat/Sun ticket is available if anyone wants to come down. That is all for
now.

I know that most of the people at the event were there from 7 AM to at least 6 PM. After driving back into Monterey most of them would be going out for dinner and just now getting back to their hotels. Maybe there will be more postings as the night progresses. Maybe not, as they may be tired. I know I am.

As to the Cantina last night, I tried to get reservations (early in the day) and there were none available until 8:30 PM. We didn't want to wait that late for dinner so I posted that information on this thread. That could partially explain why there weren't many people at the Cantina. And I believe a lot of people just decided to go to restaurants near their hotels.

Whatever, it is a great event. Great cars, great racing and good people! I hope the rest of the event meets your expectations.

Default Rennsport Reunion IV is a smal smal smal world

So it is Friday, 9AM ish as I pull my Mini rental car in to Purple lot @ LS parking. The place is filling up. They are parking us 2 by 2 off the gravel access road to start. My wife an I get out of our car, as does the couple who are parked directly behind us. I look and take a double take as I think I have seen one of the couple before. I think to my self no way, it can't be. What are the odds.

JoAnne is that you? She turns and says why yes it is. JoAnne introduces Robert, and some how he is not surprised that she is recognized (and he isn't). Awkward! I introduce my wire Patrice, and then explain how we know of each other. We have a quick laugh. We make the secret Rennlist sign, JoAnne mentions Jäger and badges. And the Rennsport weekend begins . . .

Wow this is a small world.

Need to go play the Lotto!

The ladies in the family enjoyed meeting you! Remarked later you were very helpful
We got in after 1 this morning; a few steps behind you, on the way soon.

My 993 was in the parking lot ~1 minute & JoAnne was calling to ask where I was. She's everywhere!

If you haven't seen it yet, the following thread may be what you're looking for.
Here's Thur @ Baja Cantina from Mike's new "Rennsport Reunion Pictures" thread:

Javier (Niche on Rennlist) will need to buy two tickets today. His cell number is 760-481-5212. It would be great if you could give him the one you found.
