You will be missed at the big Rennsport / unofficial 'Rennlist' gathering.
Big Daddy-- You've made me feel very "special."
Accolades from the "Rennlist/ PCA member's 993 SPEEDSTER" thread:
Next weekend: Rennsport Reunion. Hope to meet you there.
A vendor wants to feature Speedy on the grass near PCA's "History of the 911" display.
As long as that works as planned, I hope to get a few friends' 993s in, too.
Thanks to RLer Magdaddy, finding me should be easy:
I just received 11 custom Speedster nametags from him!

Whether or not you bring your own Speedster, stop by, say hi & grab a tag!
![](http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/1691/pa0203474.jpg)
I talked to JPP last night, & our plan's to give out extra nametags to anyone who pledges to make a Speedster :^)
Last thing MagD said to me was, "I know you'll take pictures."
So far, so good...
Joe somehow modified every single one by hand from the original image of a coupe:
the clam-shell / Speedster hump has the perfect arch of a talented calligrapher.
Well done, sir!

951 was making strange suspension noises (I guess that's what happens when every piece of rubber becomes a metal link, bushing, spherical joint) so the TT became the shoe in for the ride. Not a bad alternative! I also managed to buy an extra pass and parking that came with a Parade Lap pass... So I have the extra three day pass and Porsche Corral parking as a result...

JD-- Always good to have options, & your TT's one of the best! You asked for my thoughts in July whether to bring the 944: I was pulling for your curve-loving TT ![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)
Happy you're bringing the 993, but hope your 951's back in the action pronto.
Perfect ending ^^ Your Turbo will luv Laguna, & we'll luv your pristine machine ![jumper](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/jumper.gif)

Directly related to the "59" in the video ^^ behind Sir Haywood...
Legendary racecar driver and six time winner of the Rolex 24hr at Daytona, Hurley Haywood – was recently honored with the Limited Edition B59 911.
...& the mention in the above ^^ article:
9Magazine.com's "Special Delivery of Exclusive Brumos Limited Edition 911’s:"
Brumos Porsche delivered a small batch of exclusive, factory built, limited edition “B59” 911’s to five lucky customers at their motorsports facility in Jacksonville, FL. Racing legend Hurley Haywood, along with the Management and staff of Brumos Porsche were on hand to celebrate the delivery of these special vehicles along with the Brumos #59 Racecar fresh off a win of the 2011Grand-Am Championship last weekend at Mid-Ohio.
In dramatic fashion, all five of the “B59” 911’s were unveiled to the customers simultaneously when the door was raised, and the lights turned on. The cars were placed surrounding the current Brumos #59 racecar in the Brumos museum.
The five “B59” Editions were made by the Porsche factory to honor the close working relationship that Brumos has had with Porsche over the years. The five limited edition cars were built to commemorate Hurley Haywood’s five victories at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1973, 1975, 1977, 1979 and 1991.
The 2012 911 Carrera GTS B59 Edition Coupes were all finished in Carrara White and feature a Black Full Leather interior with Alcantara trim. In addition to the many standard comfort and performance features found on the 408 HP Carrera GTS, the five B59 Editions included; Brumos Red/Blue stripe design for the front hood and rear deck, Brumos Red/Blue stripe “PORSCHE” door decals, Exterior mirrors in Black, 19″ Sport Classic Wheel (Fuchs style), Door entry guards in Stainless Steel with “Hurley Haywood” engraved signature, Deviating (dual stripe) stitching in Brumos Red/Blue on steering wheel and gear/brake lever and Carrara White painted interior accents including Adaptive Sport Seat Backrests. The Performance and comfort options included; Sport Chrono Package Plus, Sport Shifter, Sports Suspension including PASM and Limited Slip Rear Differential Lock.
![](http://www.9magazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/brumos_100K.jpg)
Owners had the option to have Hurley Haywood sign the cars at the ceremony, all of which did under the hood. To commemorate the concept and build process, each 2012 Carrera GTS B59 Edition owner will receive a factory produced photo book. This special, coffee table-style book will properly document the history, heritage and pedigree of the 2012 911 Carrera GTS B59 Edition.

Is that enough?
![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Can't wait to talk to see him and the rest of the guys this weekend. Doc Bundy won't be there though. He was hired to do a Lotus event on the East Coast. Darn it. Doc was a load of fun to work with too.

I've been "off the Rennlist reservation" for a few months, but jumped back on today as the Reunion is FAST approaching. Got my tickets, so am looking forward to seeing old friends and new! Please add me to the list!
I'll most likely be in the Turbo for a couple days, especially the Parade Laps, but will likely sneak my Spyder out on one of the days...
My accommodations will be at my home in Royal Oaks - about 25 minutes from Laguna Seca in the Wilds of North Monterey County...

Ted
Thanks for posting the racing lines I have never seen that document. The notes are good and there are several mentions of interesting "landmarks" like the telephone pole on front straight and the oak tree at the corkscrew.
Laguna Seca is a great track!
4 days and counting!!

I received a corral pass from SeaCay (aka Chris) who generously and kindly donated it to me after he wasn't able to use it himself. ![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Another reminder of why this place is great - it's the people. Looking forward to buying you a beer, shaking your hand sir and putting a whole bunch of faces to names this weekend.
Cheers!

Well, I've moved my Thurs schedule around, called the Hyatt to let me check in Thurs night without draining my bank account (Platinum has its perks!)...so I'm headed up that morning and will be at the Baja Cantina Thurs night.
