Brake servo fitted above front crossmember, oil tank in osr wheel arch, active carbon filter in nsr wheel arch.

The plan is to drop the car off the ramp tomorrow so Phil can satin black paint the appropriate sections of the interior.

Fully refurbished 993 turbo brake calipers in the accent colour of Riviera Blue. Nice.

That's it, I'm done for the day, so enjoy!

You should offer those white plastic seats to the addicts here for $20 an hour just to watch this car being built...it would pay for itself.

With Graham on one side, JP on the other - it's like being heckled by Stadler & Waldorf.

Painting all the black sections of the interior.

Before anyone asks why we did not do this before minor assembly, the simple reason is that the booth was tied up with other work and the parts fitted did not interfere in the areas for paint.

Meanwhile, in the unit next door the wiring loom was being repaired back to factory specification and re-bound ready to fit. Most factory looms come as a universal fit and some plugs and sections are redundant for the car type (eg, coupe, cabrio, targa), we fit the Speedster looms as they are but with some sections removed from the rear end because they would interfere with the trim if left.

For the 9mRS conversions we unbind the whole loom and remove the excess wiring to save around 8kg, but as this adds 20 hours to the job it also add over £1000 to the build cost, hence why we don't go the whole hog for the Speedster (unless we're ever asked to build an RS version.....?).
