My thought is a supercharger will cost $10k to do it right. So why not sell my engine with 35k miles and buy a turbo 993 engine. Then I have factory turbo power for $10-$15k more.
If you are still game ... here's another one with the DME for $17K.

Not OEM, but installed in a RLer's ride by TTP Automotive GmbH, who advertises up to 550 hp. May be available at VA's Pitstop Motorsport.

Jorl's Targa was the cover car for the 2010 993 RL calendar.

No affiliation.

Though we've never met (that I know of) I do think we both hear what each other is saying. My main point was long term reliability when putting a car under severe track use. Say 2-3K track miles per year, often above 90F ambient, and running lap record pace.

No idea how your car is set up, and no way I can comment on the build. But I think we know there are plenty of "let's slap an aftermarket turbo system on with a reprogrammed ECU on a ~70-80K mile otherwise stock engine" conversions out there. Might be fine for the occasional romp, but things can go sideways yesterday at the first hint of hard, hard use.

Welded and flame ringed heads
Arrow Rods
OEM 11.2 CR pistons
GT2860's
GT Oil Cooler
DC21 Cams
Dual CDI Ignition
VRAM

The prior owner had all of the nice fab work done for adding turbos. It's got to be one of the nicest (see sig) fab jobs I have ever seen. He put about 10k on the car and I tracked it a dozen times before tearing into it. The motor was flawless. I only tore into it out of fear. I think the tuning and octane can make or break a bolt on setup.

^^ With all that internal work done I wouldn't hesitate on a Protomotive or similar caliber setup. I have, in fact, hesitated on a Protomotive without all those internals. But like those above say, I hesitate due to track use, not street.

Yeah, welding cylinders to heads as in 935 era builds. That'll keep things under control. Bitch to do the ring compression for the cylinder installation though!

Sounds awesome but 11.2 to 1 compression, how much boost?
At least you have the N/A dual plugs working for ya!

I knew it was an inch one way or the other....At least I didn't say to the left.

I have run it up to 10psi but it seems happier at 7psi. Last dyno (mustang awd) was 430 at the wheels. At 7psi it feels like a Cup Car motor. No turbo hit at all. I like it a whole lot better than my last 500whp 993 turbo. The power delivery inspires so much confidence it's very easy to drive fast.

Currently I feed it 100 oct. I will be switching to E85 soon.

No go ....mechanic said there might be an issue for the NB 993 with turbo and exhaust fit.
