New shocks and MO33 springs in the Targa
Cab and Targa owners with original springs, I highly recommend getting a set of MO33 springs.
The PO gave me a new set of shocks (Porsche/Monroes) and MO33's when I bought the Targa a few months ago. The original shocks with 27k miles and 15 years had started leaking on him, but he hadn't got around to installing the new stuff. So he threw everything in at no additional cost--nice guy. I had it all installed and aligned this week (slightly more aggressive settings than original) and I'm very happy with the result. I especially like the MO33 springs--slightly lower (not such an SUV anymore), feels great on just about any surface, and improves handling, as well as overall road feel and stability over the stock springs. Not a dramatic difference, but definitely an improvement without going too far (gotta be careful when the roof is non-structural).
For Va/DC/Md folks: Here's another endorsement for Taylor Chapman's services. My experience is consistent with his stellar reputation as one of the best P-car specialists in these parts. I don't know the name of the younger chap he works with, but seems like he's a good one as well.

Thanks for the color on your upgrade. I go back and forth about changing to M033 from stock but I hesitate mostly due to less ground clearance. I know the difference is relatively minor but we have some really nasty driveway aprons and hill crests around here, not to mention a growing inventory of pot holes, so I've not yet been willing to pull the trigger. After you've lived with this for a while please post your thoughts on the reduced ride height on your street driving. Thanks.
Porsche OEM stock springs for ROW (non US) cars. Slightly lower ride height.
What is MO33? is it a Porsche Parts or OEM?

Taylor did my alignment last week. Very nice guy, indeed. They washed the car as well, which was a bit of a surprise to me. When I joked that the car was dirty as part of a long-running biological experiment, he started apologizing
