I'm not so sure about that. Yes it will give the car a charge but it's going to take a lot longer than 20 min. to do it. Additionally, you're not going to get max output from the alt at normal crusing RPMs, but even at max output it's going to take a while. Running around at 2k RPM it's going to take a bit longer.

Best to be charged with a battery charger.
