The seat bottom frames are the same, being made with all the holes and nutplates in place to make up any of the offered configurations but a 4-way seat has 2 electric motors with support brackets and hardware and 4 geared motors (one at each corner) with attachment hardware, the control panel backing plate/hardware/cover/switches plus tension springs, sheathed cables, shafts, and wiring looms with all of their supporting brackets and hardware. 8-way seats add another 2 motors and gear cables/support brackets and hardware, one in the backrest and one more in the base. Lumbar adds two more motors/cables/brackets/hardware in the backrest. Heat adds 4 heating pads plus 4 additional wiring looms plus switches and relays. I guess it just all adds up:
