Default Need warning triangle

Doing a road rally next week, & part of the safety gear is a warning triangle. My thought was to just pick up one. However, this is proving very hard. No auto parts store around here has them, not even AAA had any.

Is the factory one available? Has anyone found one that fits in the front trunk pocket?

Mike you can find these at any of the industrial safety equipment stores in around the Seattle/Tacoma area. They are typically carried in trucks and buses in case of breakdowns etc.

Try a tractor supply store of some sort. They have various ones available, as a lot of farm equipment needs them for road use.

You might want to try checking with the local VW/Audi dealerships, they might have one.

If you don't need a factory one, go by any Truck Stop off an interstate, commercial vehicles are supposed to carry 3 at all times. These get run over all the time and truck stops have them for cheap.

My wifes BMW came with one and it is the right fit for the pocket, so maybe a friend with a BMW could loan you one.

If you want it to look good in the pocket, here is the answer. Triangle from Sunset. Clip from Croston Corn Mill Ltd.

+1 The clip cost me $35 from Croston Corn Mill. He seemed a bit unaware that the clip was good for this application, but he fabricated it and sent it over. Works GREAT!!

I got this one:

Here's a thread about them:

Looks to be the same one that Suncoast is selling. It fits perfectly in the trunk pocket. I honestly don't know why you'd need a clip. At one point they were only $4.99, but the price trends seem to match those of sport seats. Get them now while you can afford them!

This is the one that came from the factory in 993 Euro cars.

If you have a US delivered car it's not gone, it was never there. AFAIK the triangle was only included on Euro cars as it was/is required by their regs.

As far as I can determine, both the triangle and the first aid kit were options, even in UK.
