Default OEM wheel color help needed

I did some searching, to no avail. Since many of you are all knowing, thought I'd throw it out here.

The wheels on my C4S are theoretically off of a 996TTS. The center caps are from the stock 993 solid spokes. The two attached pics show the different colors between the two. The car is finally about to head to the body shop for some work, and I would like to have the caps refinished to match the wheels.

I have seen 996 twist wheels is standard silver, mine are definately darker. Does anyone have a name, or hopefully a paint code for the color? That would certainly save some trouble for my paint guy.

thanks all

A guy that restores wheels here in Nashville (Matt Shaw) and highly respected in the P car community told me the color is Polar Silver. I can send you his contact info if you like

The true hollow twists came in two colors from porsche...silver and the darker silver...I cannot recall the name for the life of me but it is in fact an OEM color.

that's funny, I kinda thought the same thing looking at the pics. Never considered it simply looking at the wheels though.

Well, my HB sport seats have Polar backs....guess I'm gonna have to compare them to the wheels.

thanks Mike!

Polar silver would have a blueish hue under a cloudy sky. Joe, take a look at the photos I posted in your Hershey thread. My car (polar silver) is next to yours. You'll get a pretty good idea whether they are the same, although I highly doubt it.

The TTS and GT2 wheels have a darker, almost graphite-like hue to them.

In addition, if I were you I'd get a set of 997 concave caps with uncolored crests and just paint around the shield. You can even do it yourself after you find the appropriate color, it's really easy.

pics don't lie ilko...Polar ain't close. For now, I'm gonna keep the traditional gold crests in my soon to be color matched center caps. If I wanted to get crazy, ok more crazy...I'd change every crest on the car to silver. So, hood, center caps, and steering wheel.

looking at those paint code options, two are applicable?
Diamantsilber Met 61M
maybe Stahalgrau Met matt 61W

Isn't the 61M the standard-every 993 twist came with it color?

For what I want done-just match the center caps, my paint guy said he could come close. If I could find the paint code, all the better.

Gt2 color is Stahalgrau ... Or steel grey. It is much darker than that and the same color as my centers.
