OK-Hershey report
since nobody else started one...why not.
Well, most people know the weather certainly didn't cooperate. I estimate the Pcar count was 20% of last year, vendors about the same...maybe a little down.
I honestly didn't take one single picture. Maybe because of my overall disappointment, maybe because I had only 3 hours of sleep because a handful of us were up till 3am consuming legal beverages.
Cactus was gracious enough to have a few of us over to his home Friday night. Along with the Cacman were, Ironimages, AOW(insert 3.6 firing order here), myself, another 993 owner whose name I forgot, and a clown shoe (M coupe)owner. It was an absolute hoot.
Saturday morning was a 30 minute drive thru pouring rain to get to the field. I set up the reserved area, erected the RL name tag kiosk, and waited. Walked the vendors, got coffee, had another great omlete there for breakfast, and waited. A couple of 993's parked in the area, but I didn't see any RL name tags anywhere.
About 11am, a few of the NY/NJ crew showed up, and parked in the area. It was nice to meet Ilko, Arwin, Bob in NY, and Deadhead1960. Back from last year were Flying Chappy and Mr. Bonus.
I know I met a few other RL'ers, I'm sorry but I just don't remember. Actually quite a few very nice 993's were there. Next year, I promise to establish a "reserved" area that can't be missed...unless of course you don't want to associate with us.
Well, the good news is...there are enough RL name tags left over for next year! I also still have some of the decals, both inside window type, and exterior.
I'm having my vinyl guy do some more colors, they should be ready by the weekend.

First of all, thank you Joe for putting this together. It was great to meet you and thank you for the sticker. It will be proudly put on display on the back of my Audi.
It's a real bummer that the weather was bad and most people decided to stay home. Out of the 30 or so people that expressed interest in joining our NY/NJ/CT group, only 8 cars showed up for our cruise. We drove through some torrential rains on the way down but made it to Hershey pretty quickly.
Luckily the rain stopped around 10AM and it was dry for the rest of the day. There were definitely a few deals this year, despite the low turnout.
The drive back was quite eventful, we called it "the four Porsches and the Sultan of Brunei cruise." Oh and if a certain white Toyota SUV driver posts a video of certain Porsches on I-78 on Youtube, the similarities would be purely coincidental...
Here's a couple of pics I took, the last one is of my car parked in front of my building for 3 days - gotta love suspended alternate side parking in NYC

It was good seeing you Magdaddy. I was also annoyed with the weather, but Scott and I had a good time anyway.

Joe - Kudos to you for all your efforts. I had to be in NYC on Saturday and the rain was not much fun there either. Next year...for sure.
Ilko - you are a brave soul keeping your car on the street for 3 days. I have had my car stolen twice in Manhattan and it is no fun.
Glad to know that those who attended had fun.

Sorry I missed out Joe, a storm delayed return from FL all but nixed plans for my son and I to get there on time. Would not have had a chance to drive the 993 anyways, it's currently in pieces getting a make over. Great job on the Rennlist window art!

I admit it, my car didn't get out of the garage Saturday. I've been cold and wet at Hershey once too often. Kudos and thanks for all the work to arrange the gathering. I'm hoping the improved weather we had during the afternoon prevails for the whole day next year.
