Default Cheap hazard triangles -- fill that empty trunk pocket!

That empty pocket in my trunk has always bugged me, so I went on the hunt for a warning/hazard triangle to fill it. I found this and ordered. Only $4.95 on sale...

Seems like it might be a genuine VW/Audi part. Hopefully it will fit, but if not no big deal. Looks just like the ones advertised on Ebay for $70. No affiliation of course.

That is a lot. But since the thing's only $5... I piled on a bunch of stuff and I think shipping was $13 total. Good time to stock up on gloves, fuses and other expendables.

Like the state police, I prefer using flares versus risking life and limb setting out and retrieving triangles. It only has to happen once, plus they look like sticks of dynamite next to my front license plate.

Please post follow up when you receive. That pocket bugs me too. If the triangle fits I will definitely follow your lead.

Warning triangles are required in Germany (thus the pocket). They work both day and night unlike flares.

Great price, even considering the shipping $10.00 shipping.
I paid $60.00 for my "factory" safety triangle and it doesn't look any different.
Thanks for sharing this find. I'm sure he'll be out of stock soon.

Drivers in Germany are better skilled than drivers here in North America, ask my friend who's a State Patrol officer.

Better drivers? I doubt it.
I've been driving on the their autobahns for over 25 years and I've seen many extreme high speed accidents on their roads over the years. I will say, they are more tuned in and appear not to be slurping coffee, eating, texting or on the phone. Depending where you are, any type cell phone usage is banned while driving, so they are attempting to get the attention back to focused driving.
It is truly a privalege to get a drivers license there because of the testing as well licensing fees and insurance rates which are astronomical.

Just entered my order for a couple of them and re-entered the ECS p/n in their "search" engine. The description came out as a VW/AUDI part. Who knows what we'll get? If they turn out to be VW, then they're o.k. since VW now owns Porsche!

I saw that too. I found them because they were listed for my E39 touring. I also wonder what we'll get! That pocket in the 993 trunk is huge, so hopefully squeezing it in there won't be a problem. We'll see...

Looks exactly like the OEM Porsche part that I bought from Sunset a few months back. It will fit just fine as I am sure that the same manufacture supplied these to all of VW group.

Just got mine a few minutes ago....Ordered two. Glad I did. With shipping, cost less than $10/ea. Red plastic case. Made in Germany by GEBRA. Fits the pocket perfectly. White removable stickers on it: "VW 1Y0 093 055". As the saying goes, "Get 'em while supplies last!"
p.s.: Thanks a bunch for the tip, Gonzilla!
