Bosch discontinued 993 Headlight Lenses. We have sets on the shelf!

I took mine out last summer and cleaned thoroughly. The lens look better butI'm afraid the large plastic bulb protector inside the lens is yellow and nothing can be done since it's a chemical reaction moisture and normal wear. To protect the lens against rock chips I applied the 3M film. And to be safe just ordered a set.
I tried to inspect to see of the plastic protector can be removed but didn't get too far to not risk cracking. Wonder is someone else has done something about this.

Yes - you can take the yellowed piece out. It clips in, so can be done easily without risk of breaking anything. I did that on mine and they looked immediately better.

All of the lenses, including non-litronic have E13 on them. We have a car in the shop with factory litronics and it has the same lens as my non-litronic headlights. PET also only shows one lens with many different hl assemblies.

I ordered and changed mine headlight lenses (litronic) this winter. Was thinking that maybe they won´t be possible to order separately in the future. Guess I was right if the information is correct in this thread.

Has anyone installed these?
They are very thick (30mil) and I know 14mil are somewhat of a challenge to apply to the outer edge of the lense face. Not the rim, just the face where the radius gets sharper.
I tested 8 mil and 14 mil before we started offering these and found 14 mil too thick.
You could use thicker if you don't cover the entire face but then you have some risk... By far the most common issue you are trying to protect the lens from is the smaller hits that cause the peppering and pitting we all love so much.
