After the arriving i sent the new baby to my indy porsche service. They made an inspection and found the following issues:

1. clutch was at the limit: i thought it, so i bought a new clutch and DMF already in the States
2. rear shock absorbers were KO: no problem, becouse i planned to install Bilstein HD shocks (call B6 in Europe) with Eibach springs
3. some undercarriage part needs to be change (worth of 320$)
4. complete service of the engine/drivetrain: changing the oils, filters, alternator belts, rebuild of the distributor: also planned, no suprise
5. battery was dead: $100 cost
6. tires were 30% left: i planned to install another wheel set with new tyres

During the inspection i got some good news:
- brake pads, rotors were 95%, no need to change (i have already bought them, but fine for the next project)
- engine is equipped with Hargett alloy valve covers
- instead of factory DMF the car was equipped with factory RS light FW

As usual, i got some bad news also, but it's for the next post

before the bad news some info about the planned modifications:

- euro Litronic lights
- new rear lights + rear fog lights
- new clear front indicators
- Turbo S style brake ducts instead of front fog light
- red seat belts (front + rear)
- new big oval tips with black ceramic coating
- Techart Fornua GT 18" wheels (black with polished lip) with new Pirelli P Zero Rosso N spec tires (225/40 + 285/30 R18)
- delete of F+R bumperettes to Euro spec
- "Carrera" side decal in black

I planned to stop here, but during the service i got an info, which made me thinking seriously....

I like the clean GP White/Blk Interior on the C4S...it just looks right. Enjoy my friend!

Nice car; favorite color combination. Unusual to see tinted windows in Europe. I assume you'll be removing the tint...correct?

Looks sweet. Sounds like you got a fine ride, & have some mighty mods planned.

Sorry to hear about your Speedster slowdown. I'm sure you'll make the most of the time, planning out your favorite details -- will be a blast

Hello!

You're right, the tint was removed. Otherside it was too dark for me, i prefer the original colour :-)

As i posted yesterday, there was a bad news to me beside the good ones:

After the inspection i got the following info from the service:

the car had a previous front accident ( i have already knew it from CarFax) in 1997. It was repaired perfect, so the metal work is factory quality, no issues, very hard to see it. BUT:

my porsche guy said, that there is a funny issue with the painting: the front parts have another shade, than the back, it's a bit more green in the white.
I was shocked, went there inmediatly and he was right

i get a Glasurit colour code card and the result suprised me:
The factory colour (grand prix white) has two different shades with the same code (L908), the only difference is a sub code for the darker one! The lighter one is the original colour of the car, the darker one is for the "new" front panels.

Finally i had a well inspected car with 2 colour shades

i was thinking a week long, what to do:
- leave it that way
- paint the front panels
- repaint the complete car

finally i decided to walk the hardest way to get the best result. So the dismantling begun and soon i could see this:

^^^ Nice Arpad, GPW is a favorite color of mine, like light cream :-). Unfortunately, it is also one of the hardest colors to match when re-painting, so I think your solution to re-paint the entire car is a good one. By the time you add in the extra cost, it will be offset by the visual impact of a perfect paint job :-)

WOW!!! This is an Extreme!! Makeover!! I did the same to my Pacific Blue SC, however you redoing your GPW 993 is a far better investment!
