I m from Genova, in the north west italy, may be you' ll know Portofino and the Riviera.
My Smarf came from California and came back to me in Europe, so she was travelling a lot as me.

Welcome! Your car is a very unique combination, Turquoise Blau with a dark blue top. Can you post some interior pictures? There's one other Turquoise Blau Cabriolet here on RL owned by RL'r Mark D. but that is the only other one I've seen :-).

Great looking car. 17" cup wheels at ROW height just look so...right. Here in the US, we always think, "bigger is better," hence the trend to 18" wheels. Yet the only comments I ever remember reading are ones that say something like, "what you give up in ride quality going from 17" to 18" wheels, you get back in how they look."

I' m happy that you all like my smurf, tnx.
I send 2 pictures about the interiors and i hope you' ll accept some writing' s mistakes...English is not my first language...
Here in Italy there is a small war between the aircooled owners Vs watercooled owners.
Is it the same in US?
Ciao. Max

max welcome! Looks great. Deadhead. You are Soooo right. Im a huge 18" wheel culprit but I have my freshly refurbished 17" cups tucked away and I will one day put them back on the car. The just look so right, and the handling is good with them too. A design icon like the 993...

Beautiful car! The first time I saw a 993 in this color I knew I had to have one too... ![Cheers](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/beerchug.gif)
No "war" here that I'm aware of, at least not in California, although people certainly have their preferences and their passions. Some even play both sides...

Ciao Maxiii
I'm from Denmark, but soon I will be moving to Padova for 7-8 months. On my previous roadtrips to Nothern Italy (Genova, Verona, Portofino, Lago di Como/Maggiore...) my previous watercooled Porsche Boxster has run very very hot. Now I am just about to switch to a 993 C2S (finally) which I will be taking with me to Italy. How is the car dealing with the extreme heat in the summer months?
Maybe you could recommend a good Porsche dealer or independent shop in nothern Italy? I have previous experience with Porsche in Milano, but they were not that good, and made a wrong diagnose/repair on my car.

Appear, hi, first of all I' m happy for your next wonderful car.
For the heat, do not worry, I had a 996 for long time and nothing is happened.
My new 993 cab comes from California and she' s still very fit and fast so i think you do not have to worry at all.
You' re lucky, for your Porsche, about Padova, cause there is the best and very experienced porsche shop independent just 30 min of car from there.
Tom i will send you phone and mail.
Think that he was fixing all of my 993 and i make 400 km from Genova to there to let him go on to take care of my Smurf.
Tnx Macca!

Thanks for the interior pictures, Max, looks like Classic Grey subtle leather option and Tiptronic with steering wheel paddle shifters. I think Mark D's car is the same Classic Grey with Tiptronic but his has a black top. Amazing that both these cars were in California together... Did you buy it from around Los Angeles in the southern end of California?
