Anyone know of a dealer that would sell a new GT2RS for under MSRP? I have a friend who is actively looking and would really appreciate if anyone knows of one.

I don't think so. Out of the 500 made only about 200 made it here and they were all spoken for. One turned up in NJ not too long ago so there may have been a few people that got cold feet. Although I'm sure the waiting list is longer than the available number of cars.

But in all honesty, if you wanna play you gotta pay. We're not talking about a Boxster here.

if i had the cash to buy an uber performance, limited edition car, i'd be happy to pay MSRP to put it in my garage.

I'm not sure how the leftovers are being priced, but I don't think all 200 cars that came to the US are spoken for. There was a thread on the 997 GT2/GT3 board recently about whether the lack of a sell-out would impair the car's future collector car status. Awesome car for sure!
