how did I miss this vital thread for so long?
Anyhow, I envy your car already. Especially since you snatched it from my native Germany (I was raised in Berlin).
I might be able to get you the seats (in my Speedster at present as I want to go with Recaro SPG/Pole Position) complete convertible top and bubble incl. mechanism to raise it, lock and unlock it etc., but only if you swear to paint the car speed yellow and give me first option to buy it of you if you ever buy your wife the Carrera GT or want to dispose of it for any other reason....
Did you ended up buying the hard top, as well? Was it a Strosek?
A friend of mine who build a mutant 997 Speedster wants one.
Please keep me posted on progress and current pricing for your project.
I still haven't given up on the dream....

i'm always happy to meet with speedster heads all over the world. Your post was so "complex" that i try to answer it step by step
in have a special set of Recaro seats installed in my "speedster" with heating and cooling!! + lumbar support. Photos avaible soon as they are for sale becouse theese seats don't match to my speedster philosophy. I prefer:
1. turbo hard back seat
2. original rs/speedster seat
3. 964 sport seat
yes, i have bought a strosek style hard-top and it's for sale. Let's talk about it!
as my wife saw your comment, she "firmly" asked me to paint the speedster in speedyellow :-) this colour is a favourite of mine, no issues for the colour, but imho it's not as gorgeus on a 993 than on a 964. Belive me, i have a speedyellow 964... Some years ago a saw a carrera GT in s.y. and it was awesome!! My wife would be more than happy with it

to everyone: Sorry for the german languange sntences but there is no secret in it, only a few welcome words! It is SOOO GREAT that RennList from the US makes possible to contact an european member with an aussie user!! i use to visit some german 993 sites also but far no community and friendship!!
