^^^ I can totally see this car in Amaranth over Marble Grey .. just sayin' ..
So, the two parts you know are missing is the convertible top assembly and the 'buckle'. Not sure what you mean by 'buckle'... are you referring to the hard 'clamshell' hinge mechanism that allows that cover to be opened?

i have a small "problem" which is not 100% clear to me: the strenght / solidity of the chassis.
i hava a 993 cabrio and i know very well, that the cabrio chassis is not too strong, there can be torsion twists during a normal ride.
I would like to make the speedster's chassis stronger and i have 2 ideas:
1. rear seat delete
if you install a rear seat delete to your 993, maybe you could install a cross bar behind the front seat between the "B" columns. Like a strut brace in the trunk. If you make the rear seat delete by yourself (which is the fact at this project) you can hide the bar into it or install it above it as a package retainer. Here's a picture to see, what i mean:

2. roll bar
i have seen photos about factory boxster roll bar installed to a 964/993 cabrio/speedster.
advantage:
- safety
- integrated wind stopper (my wife needs it)
- more chassis strenght
disadvantage:
- not factory look ?!?
- space behind the seats is harder to reach, loading packages (i mean sportbag during a travel or some boxes of wine )
some pics to see what i mean:
so, what is your opinion, experience in this question?

+1:
as i can remember, I read something in NineMeister/9M blue speedster project thread about an extra solution for more torsion solidity, but i can't find it. If Colin or Graham would give me some details, i would be very happy! :-)

Hi RP
Thanks for your PM, I'd missed this thread completely and did wonder what became of the 'abandoned project'? Good to see another machine being created.
There are still a few Speedster parts left on the shelves in Stuttgart - but getting rarer by the day!
Good luck with your search and keep us all updated with progress.
Colour choice - many sleepless nights can be had trying to decide, but good strong colours will always show off the curves!!
