Default Arctic silver 993 color question

Anybody happen know off hand which years Arctic silver was available? Was it a standard color or special order?

Seem to be lots of Polar silver, but not many Arctic silver.

Thanks

"Arctic Silver" may have been special order or not available for the 993 years as a silver shade, but I know it was standard for my 996........

Here are the colors from 1997. It was considered optional. Don't know about other years.

MY95-96, Polar Silver was the "normal" silver (still an upcharge for metallic paint).
MY97-98, Arctic Silver replaced Polar as the "normal" silver (again, still an upcharge for metallic), while Polar moved to the "special paint" (NOT paint to sample.....that's a whole other story) category complete with a "special" (EXPENSIVE) price.

1. You will not see an Arctic Silver MY95-96 993.
2. You will see Polar Silver on all model year 993s, just quite rare on the 97-98s.

Mine is a 1997 Arctic Silver. Very elegant color. I have dark root wood shifter and E-brake with classic gray upholstery. Looks outstanding.

Default Arctic Silver could be special-ordered in 1995

I looked at an early 1995 993 coupe which was special-ordered in arctic silver with a flamenco red interior. That's the only arctic silver 1995 993 I have seen.

Arctic Silver might be slightly faster than Polar!

Default My '97 Artic Silver Targa

I've had mine since 2003 and love the color. It looks especially nice at sunset.

Another surprise. Anybody else know of any other Arctic Silver 95 or 96 993s?
