Bringing this one back from the dead. What’s the preferred Cam these days and supporting mods for a street driven 993?

I running these cams with Rennsport Tune, LWFW, and Fister IIIs. Sounds great on idle with a nice exhaust lope. My car now pulls strong and consistent anywhere above 2.5k rpm.

nice. How’d you decide on this profile vs the others they offer? Is this more or less aggressive?

also, how does it compare to oem RS and the DC21 mentioned in this post?

Those web cams look the same as the DC21’s at .050

The DC21’s came about by combining RS intake profile with GT2 exhaust profile. It’s a nice performance bump over RS without being dramatic. I would run slightly wider LSA with VRAM and narrow with standard intake. Discuss with John at Dougherty cams.

Talk to the folks at WebCam and ask if those use factory lobe profiles or something custom. If custom they have the potential to be a BIG improvement over DC21’s by having more area under the curve. Ask for specs at .010, .050, .100, .200, .300 and .400. I also REALLY like the hard welding process over blank billets.

Whats the difference between these 2 processes?

also, anyone look into the Cam that fvd offers from Schrick? I like that they offer software to match.

profile looks different from above as well but this is still new to me.

Also, are you guys getting your rocker arms reconditioned when installing cams?
