Default Wrecked daily driver....

Some Jack wagon in a suv changed lanes into me and is trying to say that we both took the lane at the same time.

I'm like dude... I was there and even honked at you. Not to mention, after he hit my car, he didn't get over immediately. He just kept ridding on my car.

Hopefully, the insurance company can figure out that most people don't hit cars on their left driving right next to them. I was slightly in his blind spot.

Uuughhh! PITA!

Really bad news, sorry to hear about it. Its good that you are OK though (or sound that way).

If you do not have a witness, it comes down to possible physical evidence and your two opinions. It might be tough to have a clear winner, regardless of who is actually in the right,

If the insurance company covers this, see if you can get reduced value credit as well, since the car will be harder to sell.

Cheers,

Mike

For what it's worth, you'd have a easier time keeping Charlie Sheen out of a whorehouse than getting insurance to cough up money for a reduced value credit.

Sorry to hear about this.

Nooooooo! How can they not see Speed Yellow!

Sorry to hear this, hope you came out without injury. As time goes on, fewer and fewer 993s will be "pure" for future generations of air cooled owners. Hope the repairs are top notch and you can once again enjoy the rare pleasure of air cooled driving. :-)

I think it's his DD, not Speed Yellow. Regardless, that sucks.

This is why I'd like a miniature wide-angle video camera pointing forward and backward with a data recorder that records the last thirty minutes. Sort of like a FDR.

Kind of like this but stuck to the dash. Would be good to two, one fore and aft

I'm fine, thanks you!

The damage is more like rubbing is racing damage.

Funny you mention the camera, because that is the first thing that cane to mind when he said... We don't need to exchange insurance because we took the lane at the same time.

I always keep a camera in the car, if not my good one, a disposable camera.

You always do, period. How do you know he even carries liability insurance. If he takes off after refusing to provide you with personal and insurance info, you can have him charged with leaving the scene...as long as you have his plate number. Laws may vary by state and province.

Forensic science will be able to figure it out easily that the SUV was at fault.

I just talked to his insurance. His story is that he was driving his big suv next to me and I just moved into him. His insurance company said we deny your claim because the stories don't match. I said should you not look at the damage first and include that in your investigation?

I told them according to the damage on the side of my car, I would have to hit him and then accelerate, because his tire runs down the side of my car.

She finally gave in and said ok.. We will send somebody to look at it.

Did you file a police report?

My wrench's shop manager hit my someone with my 77 Bronco when I was in Maui and the shop manager said in the police report he was driving to court. He claimed I gave permission to let him use it. The shop manager was on vacation and does let any employee's take vehicles. I had left my vehicle to get some work done while I was out of town. Zero damage to my Bronco but about $2200 to the Sebring. My insurance company decided to go ahead and pay and said it wont affect me.....well to this day, nearly 7 years later, it pops up. I have zero speeding tickets and no accidents every on my driving record. Fight it...
