I mean, it's a little pricey. But I absolutely hate the look of my Alpine head unit. However, I need the bluetooth and iPod connectivity...Hope this comes here.

Pelican has it for $966 (search for 91164519000). Not only is the navigation system for Europe only, I have a feeling it's a European radio tuner. So, just like the Beckers, no AM radio - no big deal for those of us who don't listen to talk radio.

Wow! Simplicity at its best! I think it's a matter of time when this radio system is introduced to North America. They're probably soliciting the mapping service aspect for NA and have yet to finalize a deal.

JVC KD NX5000 is similar and works in the USA. I have one in another car and it works great. There are not many single DIN nav units out there.
My main concern in a 911 application would be the terrible glare off the screen. I bet you won't be able to see the display on sunny days..
