There is a bit of discussion on other forums about certification and safety, and from their site they only certify for off-road use. Not sure about the US though or whether this is a problem.

It makes sense to work through Darin for purchases in the US (good guy and he brought it to the lists attention!), someone has to import them, but for us Canadians it might make sense to buy direct, and not go through the border twice...

Cheers,

They have a lot of very nice stuff, you should bring your 993 over & have them do some 993 interior CF!!

I think I smell a group buy in the air...
Unfortunately, I would pass, I want a hole for the anti-submarine strap in the seat.

Maybe for a group order they would do that? They are not that far from me, I was planning to go down and try the seats out for "fittage'. I can ask them.

Cheers,

Mike

We will be putting together a group buy and ROTtec will drop ship directly from their facility, so there will be no border crossing for Canadian customers. So if you guys order with us, we can get better pricing.
Here are some basics:

Standard seat, retail price:
Model sFCGT (Folding Carrera GT)
CF seats, Black leather, leather inserts, or alcantera style inserts, thread color (black, gray, silver-gray, red, blue), silver harness trim...$2600 pair

Extras:
993 adaptive rails...$125/pr (needed when installing into 993)
Cross stitching...$350/ pr
Custom color...$500/ pr
CF Harness trim...$450/ pr
Full alcantera...$250/ pr

Shipping US
West Coast...$150
East Coast....$180

If we can figure out how many people are serious, we can figure out the group buy pricing.

We are actually talking with them about that now about doing some CF for us. The owner of ROTtec, Ray, just picked up a 993 .

Yup, just talked to him, going down to the warehouse this Saturday to do a bum test and will report back.

If I like them, will definitely join the group build. Thanks Darin for setting this up. I will checkout Ray's 993 as well. :-)

Cheers,

Mike

shawing!

as I said before..if I didn't have my HB's already...I would be ALL over this. What beautiful seats, and enough options to customize till your head explodes.

Looked at their website and am interested in the CG2 or GT3 versions for a 92 964. Does anybody know how they would fit and if the 993 bracket will work in a 964?

Whoa, really like those tan versions. Wonder if they'll clash with the Porsche cashmere which tends to be more gold than tan.

Would it be possible to get swatches of custom leather colors. I'd want to be sure the grey was close or identical to classic grey. Hard to tell in photos.

I cant be sure but I think Ive already been through the custom leather issue with the manufacturer of these seats (I am making an assumption here these are produced in east Asia). I had the full book of samples sent to me and unfortunately nne of the greys worked for Glassic grey. The samples are non porsche colours so if you are needing a very close math you will need to do what I did and supply your own leather. Of course these seats could be via different. You can see pictures of my CF backed recaro style buckets on my earlier threads.

Cheers

Yes, they will fit and the brackets are the same.

I imagine that the regular seat with the separate cushions could easily be cut for a sub strap and have it come out between the cushions. Would this seat be OK for DEs?

For those that want colors other than black, you could get a close lighter color and use Surflex or Leatheriquie to dye the seats to match the Porsche color of your choice.
