I cant wait to finally participate...... hopefully we have some great weather. I think we could add on to this..... its always a good run.

At the end of 400N take a right on 60 and go through Dahlonega. Continue N on 60 until you reach US 19. Take a right and go toward Turners Corner. Take a left on US 129 and here is where the fun really starts. Banked turns and its a blast. Continue past Vogel St park and take a left on State Road 180 / Wolf Pen Gap. This road is very technical and takes you back to Suches / highway 60. Take a left and this goes back to Dahlonega.

Its only about 1.5 hrs of driving though... but there are 2 stops that everyone can stop and catch up. I think if we added a loop back up and around over to Helen that would perfect. what were you thinking?

I suggest we bypass Dahlonega. There are a couple of routes that will get us from 400 to those roads without dealing with the traffic on 60 and in Dahlonega (And possibly alerting local law enforcement).

That'd be awesome! It'll be worth it!

BTW, you are welcome to crash at my place. Beer and breakfast included.

Maybe Andreas may want to dirty his car a bit and come too?

For some of us champions, beer IS breakfast!

If the weather cooperates here, and we can get out of our driveway, sounds like fun.

Okay...I haven't pre-run this route and don't have mileages, but it seems doable and includes some of our favorite roads from previous runs, plus some new territory. Get your maps out and see what you think:

Turn RIGHT onto Town Creek Church Road and go to STOP
Turn LEFT onto Damascus Church Roadand go to STOP
Turn LEFT onto US19/GA9
Go to "Y" at Stonepile Gap and bear RIGHT onto GA60 towards Suches
Scenic overlook - First stop and regroup
Follow GA 60 into Suches and turn RIGHT onto GA 180 (Wolfpen Gap Road)
Follow GA 180 to STOP
Turn RIGHT onto US19/129
Blood Mountain AT crossing - Second stop and regroup
Turn LEFT out of parking lot onto US19/129 and drive south to GA75
Turn LEFT onto GA75 and drive to GA348 (Richard Russell Scenic Highway)
Turn LEFT onto GA348 and drive to STOP
Turn RIGHT onto GA180 and drive to STOP
The new part:
Turn LEFT onto GA 75 and drive to GA76/GA2
Turn RIGHT onto GA76/GA2 and drive to GA197
Turn RIGHT onto GA197 and drive to GA356
Turn RIGHT onto GA 356 and drive to GA75
Turn LEFT onto GA75 and drive into Helen

I can probably pre-run the route this weekend.

Gonna check the schedule and definitely watch the weather. I want to get down for one of these runs after seeing the video from years ago. Would probably have to leave the KIM at a rest stop on the actual run up the mountain
