The dual mass flywheel on the 964 and 993 are very heavy which robs throttle response. The lightweight flywheel kit is the solution to this issue. We highly recommend on the street cars that the midweight flywheel be used to keep the car from stalling on deceleration.

MWF
When ANDIAL had a functioning Porsche Repair shop, Pete Wetzel, their service advisor, advised me that the MWF was the best solution. I have had it on my car, a 1997 for over 40,000 miles...put it on at 30,000 when the dual mass was in a failure mode...believe it or not, still on the replacement clutch.

No pics but....
The dual mass flywheel can fail...that is one of the reasons that racing bodies such as POC and PCA allow a change to a lightweight flywheel with no penalty points. They are somewhat failure prone....
I don't have any pics but my semi-lightened flywheel (ANDIAL part) has been working great for over 50,000 miles.

The DMF is a different animal.

Can someone with a MWF speak to the gear rattle/noise this setup causes? My indie who will do this job for me has really pushed me away from the LWF for all the same reasons 95 owners have experienced. He's a very reliable Porsche wrench and feels strongly that most of his customers who go this route are disappointed. I have a Steve Wong chip and understand I can send it back for a re-flash based don new mods.

In the notes it does mention a "midweight" though.

If you want a real issue, just think of the PITA when a dual mass fails. Mine came close to failure, it was producing a big clunk which magically disappeared when I replaced it with the mid-weight flywheel.

The original question was how does the MWF perform compared to a LWF.
My question is specific to a MWF and stalling issues on a 95.
It would be nice to know that other years are stalling with MWF now that I think about it but my gut tells me it would be more prone on a 95.
When the time comes, I will be removing the LWF and replacing it with a DMF or MWF, depending on what others are experiencing with the MWF, or if they can even be found.
