Preview of my new wheels....

No worries Ryan. Not sure if other centre colours were used but I believe from factory the production colour of the centres of these wheels was the metallic grey. Body coloures centres were likely a Tequipment/Exclusive option at the time. Bottom picture is from my old 993RS which was a factory wheel never refurbished. In the right light you could see the centre hat a blue cast to it like polar....

Ryan. The steel grey metallic looks different on different wheel surfaces and different light. In fact to be honest not a single picture I have on file of a 993 GT2 looks to have the exact same colour centres even though many of them are infact Porsche publicity shots! The 993RS is a long story. The short version is I like to tinker alot with my cars and the RS is becoming a museum piece. I did well out of the car at the time I sold it. They continue to be a good investment of course but there is a responsibility I feel that goes with owning these types of "investment cars" and that didnt really work in with my plans.

Awesome! I've only worshipped from afar, but I get the impression that Jim D. does untouchable work, even thinking up details to improve upon the original manufacturer's craftsmanship.
Congratulations -- I trust you'll be thrilled when they arrive.
What centercaps are planned to complete your new works of art?

I have heard the same about Jims work and that is why I am even more excited to see them in person. Beyond the craftsmanship he is an all around nice guy - taking the time to answer all my stupid questions. I am not sure what caps Jim is painting and including but I think it is a set of color matched color crests. Now I need to decide what lugs I am going with. Might just respray mine with a fresh coat of black.

There are several 993 center caps that I use. One is almost flat across the face and is the one I use when I restore 3.6 Speedline Turbo wheels, and when I do a set of 993 RS or Daytona Speedlines I use the center that is concave. It just killed me that I could not include a picture with the center caps, but I had not glued in the emblem after painting yet. Jim jdorociak@gmail.com
