Default Picked Up A New Daily!

So I have been in love with the R32 since it came out in 04 but never got one until yesterday! Joined a forum to do research on them kind of like how I started on Rennlist and then found this one. 04 R32, 240HP 3.2L 6, AWD, 6 speed with only 41K miles. This guy (age 37) was the third owner the first two were both over 50 so it wasn't modded and trashed like a lot of them end up. Another interesting fact was it never saw winter/salt/snow its entire life. Anyway I left the house Thursday morning at 6:20AM, took the train to MA with 3 hours of delays and drove home last night in the heaviest rain I have ever experienced. Was back home, showered, and in bed by 6:20AM Friday The drive home was great and the car plowed through the rain like a snow plow through snow. The wifey wanted a Lexus IS250AWD first but they are quite a bit more and not as cool IMO. The Lexus might be classier but I can guarantee nowhere near as fun. The exhaust is one of the best sounding ever!

My son has an 08 R32. Fun little car, although US 08 R32s were only offered with DSG.
BTW, IIRC, R32s are almost always rated the top vehicle in resale value.

True. I almost went for one of these instead of the 993. I know apples to oranges, but I've always liked the 04 R32 concept. The Mk5 R32 didn't do it for me at all.

Very cool car.

Perfect color combo too.

I agree about the exhaust note on those things.

Congrats!

Nice ride! A friend of mine picked up a black 04 R32 just before the east coast blizzard last winter. Needless to say, he had lots of fun with it in the snow. He plans on slapping a turbo on it.

Is that a Vision Gator in the background?

congrat's!!

always loved them too. I only see Nagaro Blue ones-maybe not the VW color name, but damn close in color to Audi's version.

Anyway, beautiful. Pretty sure R32's have a slippery slope too...

Nice pair!

I've been thinking that will probably be the replacement for the 968 whenever that day comes. Hatchback practicality and a fun and sporty ride.

The Mk5 R32 didn't do it for me at all.
Agreed. The sound, the look, and those damn flappy paddles!

Is that a Vision Gator in the background?
Indeed. I bought that 23 years ago in Myrtle Beach, SC and never set it up.

Very nice!!!!! I guess I might be a bit biased however.....
Love the pix and saw them on Vortex. The PO just put on a set of Hankook Ventus V4 ES all seasons so hopefully they work out well in the snow. This Winter will be the first time the car will see snow.
