Try truespeed. I have a 1998 white C2S, black interior, sport seats with crests, 18'' turbo twist wheels, aluminum trim, and 8,100 miles. I am the second owner, car came with all books and records, and best of all no stories. Good luck locating your car. Tony

Jonathan, have you ruled out a 993 Turbo in your search? Many of your criteria could be met with this model too. Just a thought.

FYI- yellow calipers was an available factory option. I'll ckeck the code when I get home Thursday.

Many of Sloan's are consigned, but he has them in his warehouse. I've been there. It's aircooled heaven...loaded with all kinds of very low mileage, rare and semi rare cars. I haven't seen anywhere else like it in the NE corridor as far as air cooled porsches go.

Rennlist, thanks so much for all the great ideas.

1Buck - yes had already called on that yellow car. While nice, I think that it is overpriced in this market at $69k and there is no flexibility on price.

I spoke last night by phone with Tony Air C2S, who posted in this thread. Really nice guy. He has the car I am looking for. I begged, pleaded, and offered to pay him what he bought the car for a couple years ago. He is not willing to sell. I cant blame him. By the way, he said he spent well over a year trying to find that car. To those who have been critical about my "hunt", I think that to find the right C2S, already a rare car, if one is picky it can take 1-2 years easy.

This thread has given me some great options. I have a few cars now that I am looking at, including flying out to look at a couple of these. I promise to post back when I make an acquisition.

thanks again!

You should make him an offer he can't refuse. I don't blame him either.

When I was looking I did notice that some people were getting really good deals (relatively speaking) 5-8 years ago, If anything prices on really low mileage, well optioned, preferred color combos, no stories etc cars, have increased since then. An offer above what was paid may have loosened those keys from the owners grip.....

I wont mention the number here out of respect for him, but I think he would say it was very generous...he just doesnt want to sell...and I absolutely cant blame him.

Mr Sullivan-

After this long, you mustn't settle.
I can't wait to see your car.
I hope it's not just another boring silver one.
