Let's see how easy it will be for them to honor the warranty. The burnt out bulb is all silver-hazy.
The good bulb from the other side has about 1/2 of the little bulb full of silver-hazy but it's still functioning.
Apparently they replace them in pairs if they ever burn out.
Fingers Crossed.

I received a kit with gunk stuck on the outside of the bulb as if some plastic had come in contact with the outer surface whilst hot. I installed it anyway after cleaning off said gunk but output was much less from this bulb. I contacted DDM via their on-line returns system and got a call back within 48 hrs. Trying to call them directly was a real PITA. In the end I returned both bulbs and received a new set vis USPS in 5 days. So far the new bulbs have been working as advertised, but I've only driven the car once in the dark since the install.

Just ordered a 35 Wt/5000K HID kit from DDM today. The installation pdf says there's a round connector on the ground wire (I haven't looked yet) which must be cut off and replaced by a spade connector. Is there anyone whose 993 didn't have the cylindrical connector?

No need to cut anything. Just plug the round connector into the spade male lead. The fit is very snug. I just wrapped everything insulating tape to hold it all in place.
You may have to file down the entrance on the housing for the bulb. I found the bulbs were too large to slide down. the clip also needed a little bending to sit properly and lock. Other than that the job was an easy 20 mins.

No cylindrical connector on my car, better just order the regular sets.

Go to Ace hardware and buy a box of female bullet connectors (blue plastic end-covers, they are a bit small, but you can simply pry them open slightly at the end and the fit is good), cut off the ground spade connector on the kit and crimp the bullet connector on, plug onto your factory ground stud on the headlight housing.
