...& here!
Be great if a RLer snap shots Aug 12-14
Ditto! ...but a Turbo could be up on cinder-blocks, & I'd still be smitten
18" are still 'coming soon' from Fuchs (Germany) and Fuchs Performance Group (USA).

18" are still 'coming soon' from Fuchs.
the countdown had just begun!!! from Otto Fuchs KG:
Fuchs KG presents the prototype of 17" and 18" Fuchs wheels alive on several cars (964,993,996) on the 12-14.08.2011 at AvD Oldtimer-Grand-Prix, Nürburgring
just 4 more weeks to see them! Hopefully there will be pics on their homepage...
Same teaser photo still posted on their site hyper-linked above; no Oldtimer Nürburgring updates on Fuchs' homepage.
However, this recent press release implies there may be new photos out on the webz
...or arriving soon at a RL near you

Our Fuchsfelgen team will also be out in force in Switzerland. After a year’s break, "The Showtime" get-together for Porsche enthusiasts will once again take place on 18th August 2012, on the grounds of Interlaken airport.
Porsche enthusiasts are already gearing themselves up for one of the largest and finest Porsche get-togethers in Europe. Once again: There will be Porsches everywhere where you look.
The Fuchsfelgen team will of course be there. As with the other events we will be on hand with our own retro Fuchsfelgen, the range of wheels and refurbishment tips. A great backdrop for our extra special wheels.

In March 2008 I posted that Jeff Alton shared pics of his prototype 18" design.
IIRC, the rights were then purchased by Zuffenhaus, that has since commercially produced 17" sets.
Other than arguably RLer Iozzio (whose own link for selling them has since gone dead: "18 inch Forged Billet Fuch Style Wheel"), no one in the world has produced 18" Fuchs-style wheels AFAIK that don't have serious diversions like visibile fasteners, etc.
19s starting becoming available ~May 2010 from Porsche themselves, & 17s in various forms were available before then, IIRC.
I wonder what has taken so long for the following 18s... still not in production.
Not enough market demand?
Potential good news, though, for anyone wanting 18s
Posted August 16th on Zuffenhaus' blog, "993 Fuchs:"
We’ve been test fitting the Zuffenhaus Products 3-piece Fuchs-style Wheels on 993s today:
This is an 8.0 inch fitment on the front of a 993 C2 with stock brakes and uprights.
And the rear -
These are fairly aggressive fitments – emphasizing the shape of the 993 body and fenders (hopefully in a way the factory failed to do!)
The black 993 pictured is lowered significantly and has more negative camber than a stock example – it is what we consider a street/track set up, careful on speed bumps and driveways, but useable for daily commuting.
Contrast that with a similarly aggressive fitment on a bone-stock C4S (high ride height, minimal negative camber):
Although the front wheel for the C4S (as with the 993 Turbo and C2S variants) is an 8.5inch width (0.5inch wider than the C2), it actually uses a narrower outer barrel as it must be moved outward 3.5mm to clear larger brake calipers.
The photo below shows the front wheel at full droop, which moves the wheel outward from the centerline of the chassis (according to the arc of the ball joint in the front A-arm as it moves upward into the fender.)
Rear of the C4S at similar droop:
Additional camber and ride height adjustment will round out the Fuchs installation on a 993 model.
We’re looking forward to putting some of these new fitments on a handful of the exciting 993 builds currently in progress in the US and abroad.

^^ Very recent high-res pics. Whaddya think?
Posted yesterday on 911uk.com's "Fuchs for 993" thread:
I knew i should have taken a picture, but on the jzm stand (in the trade hall) at porsche club great britain annual event at chateau impney at the weekend there was a nice 993 wide body sporting a set of classic black/alloy fuchs wheels in correct 18" sizes on correct tyres and it looked lovely. and the wheels were not out of place on the car either.
But cheap they are not
'Til new pics appear, here are two on Otto-Fuchs.com from March's Techno Classica Essen.
Fuchs' press release states that this side of the 993 has 17" wheels mounted on one side, 18s on the other.

Check rsrGarage.com.au's following photoshop of the above photo.
They say they're already in production & available for pre-order, similar to what fuchsfelge.com posted (~$875 USD/ wheel).
Contrasting:

More contrast!
I finally found an image David in LA wanted, thanks to the magic of the interwebz:
polished on black would look good!
You have to give [Jeff Alton / Zuffenhaus] a call and see if they've come out with the Fuchs they were planning on....Fuchs would look awesome on this car
the Fuch wheels would look good on your car.
contact those guys and tell them about your car...once anyone sees Fuchs on your car, they'll sell hundreds of wheels.
you need to photoshop how these would look with polished or machined spokes
The Sport Classic fuchs look perfect on your Speedster
IMHO the only possible improvement on the looks would be to have the spokes polished or machined...I'm still waiting to see if Jaegar will photoshop a pic of his car
And you may want to think about adding a set of Ralph Booth billet centercaps...you could go with silver ones like Jaegar did
David-- I'd luv to learn how to aid your digital editing desire.
I'm learning from RL about 993s, but know much much less about Photoshop, or in my case, PhotoChop.
best for you to wait on a motivated & skilled enthusiast to volunteer their time changing spokes on photos...

I'm excited they're releasing them in 17" to 18" sizes. I would love to pick up a set. On the websie there are several color combinations available, a few have caught my eye
Btw, you speedster is soo cool, I love it man. Your Fuch wheel setup is super clean, I love the style and car!
