^^^^^Beautiful. I drove a newer E Class MB and this is a option (standard I think). I liked it.

The 9x7 generation and Cayennes have this too. Very nice feature.

Our '07 XC90 features this as well.

Not quite sure why the tern "Comfort" would come into play though...

I like this idea, have driven in Europe with these, too bad you can program it to flash 4x which in my mind seems a little more appropriate. Been looking for a vw dd so when I find one I'll have to get one of these. Thanks for spending my money.

I want one. Is there a 993 option?

With a the Targa roof open on a sunny day and LPMMs I leave my blinkers on all the time.

i really like the one tap = 3 blink concept

here are directions on how to mod a Subie, never mind, the link is dead.
I basically had to rip open the blinker module and change some capacitors to make my 06 Subie one tap = 3 blinks.

could possibly do the same with our car?

I drove a rental with this feature. Couldn't figure out that this was actually a "feature" and not a malfunction. I find it easy easy enough to just flick the lever on and off. Much easier than trying to figure out how to wire something like this into the stalk.

I rented an Opel Astre which had this feature, when we were in Holland last week.

I quite liked the feature.

If you are buying a new vw, it will probably have this, so no mod necessary.

My Audi has it and I absolutely love it!! One of the Top 5 features on the car, not kidding.

It will be great for the Porsche since the clicker inside the dash is quiet (with the RSRs) and I have forgotten to turn it off a couple of times after a lane change or an exit ramp where I don't turn the wheel enough to cancel it.

BTW, that particular piece from ECS cost in the neighborhood of $250 back in 2004. I wanted to fit it in my R32 but decided the cost/benefit ratio was too high.

Gotta say I love this feature too! Even my '07 Tahoe has it (but doesn't have auto-up windows)

Any electrical or wiring gurus out there? I'm sure this is a simple mod for those in the know.

I guess its just a relay with a timer that you add to the existing flasher relay. I have it on my 2005 VW bus and think it is a really great feature when you are changing lanes and the steering wheel is not turned enough to pop the flasher stalk to "neutral" again.
Guess i have to order one and see if i can get it to work on the 993.
I think 3 flashes is just right to get the other motorists attention.

I have also been thinking of installing a rain sensor in the 993, another thing i miss after getting used to it on my newer vehicles.
(i know Gert has these)

Um... guys, do you reaize that you don't have to click the turn signal on and click it off? Just move the lever down or up a slight amount and it activates the turn signal, release and it deactivates. Cars have had this feature at least since the 1970s.

And, number two, IT'S A SPORTS CAR! NOT A LUX-O-BOAT! Next thing, you'll want the transmission to do the shifting for you!!!

Thirdly, sometimes I like to give someone a single blink, like after I go around some idiot hanging out in the left lane. Bottom line - I want to control this aspect of my driving. I don't want a machine to do it for me. Jeez you guys are lazy!
